A sort of 'retribution' for the senior team's defeat.

It's not much fun though is it, clutching at such mercies.

Doug/any other ITK, apologies if in the wrong thread but have you any insight on Tom Dele-Bashiru from the u16s?

On that basis, he'll probably end up at the Swamp.

Robbed.

Better side lost. Looked a clear hand ball for their scorer to make space for his shot.

We squandered some great opportunities.

The final ball was missing and our strikers need to learn to attack the near post.
We do have some talented lads out there

In the half hour i managed to watch, Tosin concerned me. I thought he might be first team ready, but on this showing he is a long way off. Maybe he just had an off day?

Disappointing result especially with all the chances/situations we created. I felt most of what Barca "created" came either from us misplacing a pass or when Tosin didn't manage a situation well enough. Tosin did wotty me a bit with what was almost complacency. He seem to have , or at least he thought he had, a situation under control but then all of a sudden he didn't have.

Some great attacking play though until that final pass or shot. Every one of our forward players looked excellent at times but we didn't score. Sancho lost the ball a few times too many for me ( i felt Rodney did too) but still looks a fabulous footballer.

Definitely thought it was hand ball for their goal but that's the way the cookie crumbles at times.

Great win for the 18's today away at Newcastle. Players missing as well( Sancho, Gonzalez, Latibeaudierre) but 2 goals from Joe Hardy sees them home. Keeper saved a penalty in the first half but got sent off early in the 2nd when we were 2 up but a battling effort sees us hang on. A couple of the under 16's came on late after playing in the under 16's game. Bobby Duncan being one of them and if I am not mistaken he is related to a certain Steve Gerard.

The 16's won 6.1 and he scored 2!

I've just noticed we're not in the Premier League International Cup this season - a few of the bigger clubs seem to have opted out, and I guess a few others will have seen the Auto Windscreens Shield (or whatever it's called these days) as a better alternative. Any news on why we opted out?

u23s just won 0-3 at Southampton. Now 2nd in Premier League 2 (Division 1) between Liverpool (3rd) and Everton (1st). Next two league games are against these, first at home, then away respectively. Then Chelsea at home to reach the halfway stage of the season.

According to Soccerway who list attendances, we have had two games at the Etihad and none at the academy. Is that right?

I think the new league format specified a number of games. needed to be played at the 1st team stadiums. we are just fortunate with the minihad.

I lose track but we have had at least 2 (maybe even 3) at the Etihad already. Arsenal and the scum.
