The golden tit!

He certainly lived the dream, definitely local lad made good, probably amongst the last who takes his local club to the premier league

The missus is a Wolves fan. I've spent a good bit of time around Wolves fans and he's genuinely loved down there. God bless him.

A man who loved his club and by all accounts was a generous and good sort too. A sad time for WWFC, RIP.

Depressingly enough, he wouldn't have been able to help his club out to anything like the same extent under the current FFP regulations.

Not many of his ilk left. A fan who put his money into his club and saw them get to the top league. Fair play to the man and RIP

A good man but sadly today would be told it is not allowed for an owner to put his money into his own club, even if he lives there. It's 'Fair Play' you know and is banned now.

Yep, that's the nub of it.

Do you know, that's what really makes me angry about FFP. Not the fact it was designed to keep City down, or even that it was designed to keep the rags and all their mates on top.
It's the fact that it's taken everyone else's dreams away
