no say on whether Everton is too soon though?

It's the sight City fans have waited to see for what seems like an age - Sergio Aguero and Edin Dzeko back in full training.

The injured pair missed most of December and with Stevan Jovetic also absent for several games, David Silva, James Milner and Jose Angel Pozo filled in up front at various points.

Dzeko had only recently returned from an injury sustained away to QPR in early November when he picked up a calf strain in the warm-up away to Leicester a month ago.

Kun Aguero was in red-hot form with 19 goals from 17 starts when he stretched for a ball at home to Everton on 6 December and injured his knee, forcing him to miss the past five weeks and all of the festive period games.

Now both Sergio and Edin are building up their fitness - and with games against Arsenal and Chelsea on the horizon towards the end of the month, it's a timely boost for manager Manuel Pellegrini, particularly with Yaya Toure away on international duty for up to six weeks.

With skipper Vincent Kompany also making good progress, it will be the perfect fillip for the Blues who will look to challenge for three major trophies in the coming months.

Welcome back, lads!

Vinny was filmed in training today as well. I doubt any of them will start but we might see 10 minutes of one or other of them. They're more likely to be in contention for a start against the Arse.

supposedly Aguero, Dzeko, and Kompany are in the squad for Everton. all of them had better be on the bench and Aguero had better not play.

Kompany - start, Aguero - bench, Edin - bench.

Give Aguero 20 mins tomorrow, 30 mins vs Arsenal, 60 mins vs Boro, start and full game vs Chelsea.

Trust Awegio is fit and well and get him in destroying teams. Every game is worth three points.

I'm only surmising but the fact that all three are back in the squad must give Everton some early concerns and trepidation, especially with their results of late.

All three don't have to play but, psychologically, the immediate effect on the Toffees could be noteworthy.

Can see Vinny starting with Aguero and Dzeko on the bench . Usually takes Sergio 2 or 3 full games to hit top form again .

MP usually likes to give returning players 30 mins, plus the others have had a week off, so all three on the bench is my bet

Let's see if they make it through the pre-match warm up before we start counting chickens.

"Like"

Obviously if they REALLY are fuy fit they can start but how could they be if they only just returned to full training?
Bench spot for all of them imo. Long season, no reason to risk anything

Vinnie should not be an automatic slot in imo...he should stay on the bench unless of an injury.

I disagree. I think Agueros first action should be 30 min max vs Arsenal next week. We cant afford to rush him back too early

Does anyone know what happened to Dzeko yesterday? Why was he not on the bench? Oh and milner likely to sign up this week btw.
