3 things peeing me off at the moment1

Why are we so shit at corners this year. I'm sure we haven't scored from one this season?

ACON, we lose Yaya again just as he's becoming very influential again.

Giving away needless free kicks in dangerous areas

If we can sort out the first and the latter, this would massively improve our championship drive

Not really noticed the free kicks that much, and the ACON is just a pain in the arse, and feels like it's every season.

I'm certainly with you on the corners, it's like they are not part of the game plan, and no-one bothers. That can't be true though as the big defenders always come up for them.
A bit of practise in training on corners wouldn't go amiss.
I think you're right about us not scoring from one this season, I certainly don't remember it.
And the one to cap them all was Kolo's yesterday, that ended in a backpass to Willy.

Think Demichellis scored away at Arsenal from a corner for the equaliser. However, I completely agree our corners are appalling and it is an important problem that needs improving as they could be crucial in big games to come.

Look at Kompany's winner v United in 11-12 season at the Etihad, Dzeko's equaliser v QPR in same season.

Yaya going to African Cup of Nations is disappointing, especially as he will almost certainly miss Chelsea away at the end of January. He has been very good for the last 6-8 weeks.

Agree with you on the free-kicks conceding. It is naiveity and highlighted by players diving in rather than staying on their feet and defending properly.

Its so frustrating that every one in the ground can see this. Even the players must have recognised this; as we are at least trying short corners.

With Clichy's current delivery (no I don't have a boner for him...) why doesn't he take them? or we try a short one, where he whips them in? Because we've tried Nasri, Silva, Milner, Navas, Kolorov and they are all bobbins.

I'd add a fourth thing that we need to address and Hart's lumps up the pitch to the other team.

Our corners are poor. But why when we defend a corner do we not leave a player up? If the corner is cleared, it's coming back.

Absolutely. I'd actually leave two near the half way line. They would need to leave at least three, if not four back to cover, meaning the big centre half doesn't go forward. Attack, after all, is the first line of defence

this, every corner we will defend, all our players are in our pen area, so someone gets a head to it and it goes out of pen area only for the other team to get it back in. this is my biggest gripe, we need to have at least 3 players out of area so any balls which go out of area we could have a fast counter attack in stead of waiting for the ball to come back in
