There's a HUGE difference between early Joe and later Joe.

Maybe Hart will develop along the same lines. I certainly hope so. Later Joe (Corrigan) was absolutely amazing.
Your right leg I like; I've got nothing against your right leg. The trouble is neither have you.

Indeed he was, but a very similar type of keeper to Hart.

Amazing shot stopper

I think that Ron Boyce goal was one of the early examples of the 'typical City' curse but we didn't know it yet. It was just starting to creep in there but it took some years before it finally got us.

Took 40 odd years a Sheikh & Mancini to get rid of it.

Regarding that save from Niggler. Corrigan came runner-up for 'save of the season' on both BBC and ITV that season, and that was the BBC one.

1938 we got relegated as champions, not sure you're definition of "early" is warranted.

We were top scorers as well that season with 80 goals. Trouble was the 77 coming the other way.

To Alex Stepney for his save in The Derby at Maine Road.

I rate Joe's save up there with the Banks one, Schmeichell's at Anield and Montgomerie's in the Cup Final. Seaman too. Cup semi, I think.

It was goal average in those days. We would have finished in eighth spot if it was on goal average.

Luckily Hitler was just about to distract us from typical City.

Let's ignore the 4 consecutive clean sheets earlier this month, he should not be conceding off-side goals or shots that rocket into the top corner.

Quite amazed that Joe is getting flack for this.

Really? I'm not surprised at all, it's the same idiots time and again that are looking to pin the blame on him, it's the type of thing I expect to see from the moronic kids on Bluemoan.
