What is his injury history? Last thing we need is another 50%'er.

Better haircut, good against B'mouth, shit against United.

Not much more to be said.

He is the one shining light for the dippers.
He is good enough to save them from complete ignominy this season.
I would definitely take him. The fact he is English is an extra bonus.

haircuts do improve performance - see mdm
i am convinced that if andy carroll cut his hair and shaved, he'd be injury free and score 30 goals a season

I'd much rather see one of our youth team players given a chance ahead of him. There's nothing better then watching a young player breaking into the first team and then developing into a class player.

How much could we get him for and how much would we get for Navas?

It's the only way a deal could be done. I don't watch the dippers enough to know if he'd be an upgrade on Jesus but I suspect he would be.

he's a serious upgrade over navas if you ask me, and will only get better as he turned 20 years old earlier in the month. not so good as a crosser of the ball, but he does what some have complained navas does not do enough at times...utilize his pace and dribbling ability to run at the defence.

Liverpool's Raheem Sterling girlfriend assault case collapses

Raheem Sterling walked free from court after the case was withdrawn
Liverpool and England footballer Raheem Sterling has been cleared of assaulting his former girlfriend.

The 18-year-old was accused of attacking 19-year-old model Shana Ann Rose Halliday during an argument after a night out in Manchester.

Mr Sterling, from Woolton, who denied common assault, walked free from court after the case collapsed.

Liverpool Magistrates' Court heard Miss Halliday's evidence contradicted earlier statements.

The court heard the player and Miss Halliday had gone out for a meal on 8 August but on the drive back to Liverpool an argument started about a text message on Mr Sterling's phone.

The prosecution alleged Mr Sterling assaulted her twice in his car, but it then withdrew its case when Miss Halliday failed to support the prosecution's case by giving "disappointing" evidence.

Mr Sterling, a winger, has appeared for Liverpool 43 times and has one cap for England.

A Liverpool FC spokesman said the case had been "a private matter for Raheem and as such we will not be making any comment".

Far from it pal. Note the second post in the thread and the discussions on the FA Youth Cup thread. I would not like to see him at City for a variety if reasons, not least I just don't think his end product is all that and he offers very little defensively. A couple of years ago Andros Townsend was going to be the next big thing

interesting to see him slagged off a bit here.

he has world class potential and has shown to already a be dangerous force on a team with a strong attack.

he started for england for a reason, and is the kind of direct player with pace that we would benefit from.

he'd fit in with us very well on the right, and being english helps us with homegrown player needs.

hard to see liverpool conceding him to us.

aren't there so-called real madrid in for him rumours going around?

Yes, he started for a reason. Unfortunately that reason is that this is the worst England team in ages.

He does have potential but in would not pay mega bucks for him.

I think he's a very good player and has increasingly looked at home playing at the top level, with potential to improve further.

If there was a chance he became available, then I'd like to think we'd be interested. However, like most English players, I fear he would be horrendously overpriced.

For my money, he's all show and no substance.

If he played in our team, I think he'd be shown up for his overall lack of quality.
