Roma is a nice city but why are we going there in may?

the final.

Is played in Berlin.

Shit, it is? God damn commentators were saying all day long that Garcia said they need to qualify to come back and play the final in their stadium.

Cunts.

Best Champions League performance to date all things considered. The midfield three of Nasri, Fernando and Fernandinho were the absolute business, quite solid at the back as well.

Zabaleta bursting into the box to score with five minutes to go, magic! Also, stick it up your arse Roma!

Why not give him a break? You applaud Nasri now that he is only now back in form after few weeks in the team after his injury and yet Dzeko should be in top form straight away after his return from injury?
Not to mention being isolated up there surely was not an easy task. He still did some good hold up play to bring others into the game.

He's no Aguero OK but IMHO that was a decent performance from a lad up on his own, coming back from injury

I have seen enough, hes injury makes no different. If you have no speed, no technique, no touch. You need to be really good at something else,
well thats the problem Dzeko is not.. Today he didnt even work for it, i give that to hes after injury.

Its really good to see Nasri has steped up hes game, and he need a mention for it. About time.

I guess his impressive goalscoring record isn't good enough. He was particularly shite at the end of last season when all of our other strikers weren't fit. He should have scored more!!!

And whilst he's no Navas, it's not true he doesn't have speed.

Fernando and Fernandinho were immense and defensively we were miles better than if one had played with Toure.

I'm enjoying Clichy just being brilliant again - he's so sharp at the moment. If he's 'rested' for Kolarov at any point Pellers wants his head checking. Keep playing him cos he's that kind of player.

The Sky pundits are talking sense tonight. Saying pretty much what we all on here have been saying the last few seasons.

Hopefully we draw one of them in the next round and can make them really upset.

Mangala did very well tonight, he is going to make a top defender in time. But fernando was my motm fooking super at smashing up them in there. In fact the two top ferns should be in for every big game.

They are talking formations etc etc. But if we passed the ball tonight & defended like we did v Roma & CSKA at our place, we would have got fucking battered.

The comeback v Bayern has moved us up a level.

One man team my arse!

Excellent performance form the boys tonight despite missing the spine of our team. Fernandinho, Hart, Nasri and Demichelis were outstanding. Looking forward to Silva, Dzeko and Kompany getting back to fitness and a good run from here on in. Well done to Pellegrini tonight as well for getting his tactics spot on - looks as though we may finally be coming to terms with the Chumps league as although it wasn't our most exhilariting performance it was certainly one of our most professional. Think the last 2 european games have been a turning point in our continental adventure and I doubt there are any teams looking forward to drawing us in the next round. The biggest difference in our performances over the last month compared to earlier in the season is that we are pressing as a team and much higher up the pitch - I have noticed Nasri being the main exponent of this over the last few games and it has coincided with a great run of form from him

Funnily enough, this is the sort of performance I expected from Bobby Manc's teams

Great result. Was entertaining following the match at work via everyone's comments. Definitely preferable to listening to Smith's monotonous nasal droning on TV. Alan Smith really is a bitch. He trots out that "With the money they've spent..." bullshit even in FIFA. The gangly clown is a fucking parrot.
