The BBC are all over the world, but that website is UK & I don't see what the fuck African player of the year has got to do with the BBC.

I'm not an expert on the BBC, but isn't Mase rather well-versed in BBC matters? I'm certain he even shared some insider information involving City and the BBC previously?

I think it's because the BBC have exclusive UK rights to the African Cup of Nations.

They've awarded it last few years - pretty sure Yaya won previous two.
