No Jimmy, pointless Navas.

These are a very good team at home not hopeful after seeing that team.

Ha Ha What the f**ck do I know!

Great Performance.

Still think Jimmy is a better option than Navas.

Hoddle is a twat. What else was Mangala supposed to do? If he lets Long through it's 1-1. Mangala took one for the team which helped us to win the game

I got to see a replay of the incident again to say something substantial but it looked unnecessary to me. Mangala is faster and could have opted to steer the southampton player to a bad angle instead. I think. I don't know though.

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

Exactly. You can only play as well as you are allowed to. Played well as a team today which hasn't always happened this season. All of them 7/10 or above. No passengers today

He should have got in front of him imo. But he stopped him & didn't concede a penalty.

That's exactly how I saw it as well. He took the chance and it paid off.

I still fancied us to get another after he went off but I didn't want to jinx it by putting it in writing.

What a match. Enjoyed that.

Navas BTW was brilliant tracking back today I felt. Put a shift in and deserves some credit.

And milner? Yeah. It was his day as I said. His sub sealed the win.

Cheers

What did you expect from Hoddle? Isn't he a local legend there?

Did they mention that we won the game because we spent a lot of money?

Had another look at Mangala's two bookings. First one was a clear rash challenge. Stupid unnecessary. Yaya clearly put him in trouble for the second but if you're on a yellow you have to be ultra careful and he wasn't. Vinny was there and he should have let him do the business. There again the Southampton player was motoring and Vinny's not the quickest. It could have been 1-1 if he hadn't made the challenge.

IMO Mangala has all the raw materials but he is still a bit- raw. I'm sure they can coach him to cut out the silly rash challenges because he looks like being an outstanding centre back for us as Savic and Nastasic never did.

Big fat, big fat Frank
Big fat, big fat Frank,
Big fat, big fat Frank,
Big fat Frankie Lampard.

Well done Eliaquim, your sending off motivated the others to close out the game.

I had the misfortune to listen to the first half on talk Shite, where someone, I think maybe Collymore, insisted Sergio dived, even though the whole of the rest of the planet said it was a penalty.

I love it when we upset the commentators like this. Hehehe

They mentioned it beforehand & during, just in case, so everyone would know. Still, at least we didn't get a full Tylering.

No, but early on the commentator mentioned how Aguero and Jovetic cost more than Southampton's starting 11. Twats

They looked almost like proper City & the goals were typical of some we scored last season.

Mangala tried to get his body in front and almost did. Either way he did the right thing. Another good display from Mangala overall I thought.
