MOM versus scum

Postby patrickblue » Tue Nov 04, 2014 7:39 pm

I know it's Tuesday night and all that, but no-one seems to have bothered their ass doing a MOM poll for the derby, so here goes

Yeah, sorry about that mate, I had a busy day Sunday and by time I got chance to get on the computer, I was pissed ;-)

Anyway, it's close for me, Yaya, Vince & Joe did well but as Vinnie got nutmegged and Joe Hart didn't kick Wiggy in the balls when he hit him then I'm going for Yaya.

I've gone for Clichy, he played a blinder (unexpectedly).

Yaya. Three awesome chances created in short succession in second half including the goal. Most passes of any player on the pitch and despite the difficulty of some of them he had the highest success rate. He's at the heart of everything we do well as a team.

Aguero - better than anyone else on a football field that weekend.

Clichy. His best performance in a City shirt.

Yaya was sensational at times. Clichy was good until he went backwards after 75 minutes. Hart was good.

Though Yaya was better than he has been for a while, Demichelis was sound, Milner tireless and Aguero always a handful, I went for Clichy.

Cant argue too much with that, I was flipping a coin between Yaya and Clichy and Yaya got it. Also Hart was commanding, I have watched the game back BTW and it doesnt look as bad as the hacks would have you believe in the last 15, we had more possession and better chances

We did and to be fair to them they rallied and did alright. Still, we should have seen the game out a lot more comfortably than we did especially when we were playing against ten men and they had a back four of Valencia...Carrick....Mcnair...Shaw.
Instead we went into panic mode a little.

Doesn't matter now as three points is three points and on we go.
