I would've been happier with Aguero as lone striker at the end

As soon as we lost Jovetic we lost that support for the midfield and it resulted in a few chances for the RAGs, so unless there was some express instructions from Pellegrini Aguero should have had the sense to do Jovetic's job and help out the midfield more when Ed came on. At least Pellegrini saw it and brought the other Fernie on so it's something, and a partially rested Aguero sould be important for later in the season.

Any win over the rags is to be celebrated, but that one has left a slightly empty feeling because it should have been a demolition.

Manchester United field 'most expensive ever team' in derby against City
Louis van Gaal's XI was reported to be the most pricey ever seen in English football.

After the team lists were published, it was announced by several media figures that Louis van Gaal's XI was the most expensive ever seen in the Premier League.

So if this was the most expensive XI ever seen in the Premier League, let's see how those figures break down...

Image

According to our calculations, that makes a grand total of £233.4m, but then again transfer fees are incredibly hard to accurately establish.

While we cannot be certain for sure, there is every likelihood this is indeed the most expensive starting XI in Premier League history.
