Mangala is a young player new to the club. It could be several seasons before he hits top level. Yet he was the one making the key challenges when Vinny went missing at times 1st half. Where were VK & Zabba when the player got in behind him ?

i think Mangala is classy. I'm not worried about him. I'm worried about practically every other bastard who can't show up on a cold night in Moscow...in an empty stadium...with Everything to play for.

Did i mention i'd like to punt Joe Hart down the fucking field like one of his shit kicks? Handsome, dandruffy fucler. Throw a ball, cunt.

Abysmal 2nd half performance - inexplicably casual, with too many big names invisible, especially when the going got tough.

We gave the ball away for fun, gave the initiative away needlessly and allowed what is a bang average opponent to make us look our usual garbage in that competition.

No excuses for it at all, from the manager downwards. Aguero was invisible in the 2nd half, Toure was what he's been most of this season, Dzeko kept giving it away, Silva was as wasteful as I've seen him, Kompany got caught ball watching and Mangala's cross field hoof was pub league stuff.

That competitions gone now, again, for yet another year. You can spend all night farting about looking at permutations of Bayerns games with Roma but the fact is we aren't going to beat Bayern at home, and we aren't going to win in Rome either.

What we will do is beat that Cska pub side at home and completely bollocks it up by getting ourselves into the Europa League. That, of all things, may be the most depressing outcome of all.

23 games in that competition now, I think we've actually put in a full decent performance on two occasions. Not acceptable, not good enough.

Zaba and Vinny have proven themselves to be players at the top level, including international football. For all they have done, therefore, they can be forgiven a mistake.
This is our fourth year in this competition and it was clear we needed a top class centre half to improve. I don't doubt that Mangala could be a good player in the future. I do doubt that our owners would want to spend £32m on potential.

Strange Penalty decision that. The ref couldn't wait to blow his whistle.

Pellegrini had no need to make any changes until at least 75 mins.

Taking Edin off was just stupid.

The CL draw is a group of death but we're going out with a pathetic whimper rather than a bang.

The manager has gotten a lot more out of two other teams with less talent than us in this competition. Yet this group of players have performed poorly under two different managers. Pellegrini will pay for it but the blame lies with the players.

Maybe Manuel needs to tell then we're playing CSKA Sheffield or Bayern Derby, as we shit ourselves if the name is European. I wouldn't mind if we always played one way and it wasn't good enough in Europe, but we change style into something awful every time that feckin CL music plays

Exactly. And Roma are showing right now what an absolute sack of fucking shite they are.

As for the comment above knocking Mangala saying that VK and Zabba have proved themselves at the top level, when have they ever proved themselves in the Champs Lg ?

They lost concentration tonight & against most other top teams they have struggled defensively.

4-0 to Bayern after 30 mins. We could have done the same tonight & v Roma but went to shit instead.

When they came a'knockin, Pellers sat there with his finger up his arse.

And how the fuck did CSKA get the crowd going, they weren't supposed to have one!

And the penalty, you're having a giraffe. It happens every season we've been there, nothing goes for us. Amazingly!

This could actually rescue us if it causes Roma to get the shits. Only trouble is, would we be capable of actually beating Stockport County this season, in this competition, if the chips were down ?

If Kompany and Zab's are that bad, just imagine what'd happen if Lescott was still there. It could've been 10!

There the same goal difference as us now if it comes to that. We are definitely not out yet. Another cl match like tonight's second half and the count is going to be sweating over his job come the end of the year.

Pellegrini stiffened up the midfield, like everyone has asked. They ran straight through the back 4 as Totti did.

They are not bad, they are two of the best in the world, as are Aguero, Silva, Yaya, Dzeko etc.

But in this competition, none of them have performed regularly any better than Mangala did tonight, so I'm pointing out how grossly unfair it is to start blaming him. Any mistake he made, could easily have been covered.
