I couldn't see a thread for this, but the club are offering a deal for tickets for the City v CSKA game at the Etihad.

Basically, if you buy a ticket or have already bought one, you get one free as no CSKA fans are allowed at the game, so we have the stadium to ourselves!!

Here are the details - City v CSKA ticket deal

Will this apply to cup scheme members?

Doubt it.

Didn't we do this for that great Hamburg game that we eventually went out on?

If I remember rightly, that was £5 per ticket.

And possibly the best atmosphere I've ever seen at a home game.

Every fan, in every stand, was standing up for the whole match, singing and urging the team on. Incredible atmosphere.

It was a privilege to be at that game.

I would love if we even created half that atmosphere regularly.

Incredible night.

It was that and even at the end we were still full of beans. Hopefully this deal will bring the same atmosphere and it's good to see the club acknowledging that the price of football is keeping people, and the atmosphere, away from matches.

That pretty much sums up my efforts today too. Gonna email them and ask for a refund for one of my tickets seeing as I can't solve it any other way.

Yeah it took me a while to get through on the phone.

Basically, if you haven't got a ticket yet, you can ring up the ticket office and buy one and also then get your free one at the same time.

If you were on the Cup scheme and/or had already paid for a ticket and wanted to request your one free one, you need to speak to Supporter Services. So only speak to the ticket office if you actually need to buy more tickets rather than just requesting your free one.

Hope that makes sense!! As I got through to the ticket office yesterday after waiting on the phone for ages but was then told I couldn't request my free one from them as I had already paid for my ticket on the Cup Scheme and only supporter services could deal with sorting the free ticket out. Ridiculous system

Glad I e-mailed asking for a refund for one of my 2 tickets rather than getting more free ones after that farce tonight. No wish to be spending even more on tickets, food and drink for what is virtually now a dead rubber.
