On SSN now "Lamps", as I have suddenly decided to start reffering to him as, is stating on to cover for Toure whilst he does the african cup of nations (which, you know, *those* kind of players like to play)
Good news I think? Isnt it?

Toure is not 100% going according to a report I read, he was considering what to do. He will miss Arsenal, Chelsea and Everton games!

Would be happy if this were to be true. Still a top player. And all that experience would be handy for the big games.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Lampard here for the full season and defer joining NYCFC.
I'm sure he's looking forward to ending his career in New York, but not sure he could resist one last shot at Premier League glory, not to mention the other trophies we'll be chasing.

If he goes to NYCFC before the end of the season and he's played plenty of games and we win the league (again) will he get a medal?

He is entitled to one, so there will be one for him.

Hope not. It wouldn't be right to deprive NYCFC of one of the marquee names they signed to help launch the club.
Keep hold of him until Yaya returns from ANC by all means but no longer.

You'd put NYCFC ahead of MCFC?

Because otherwise you'd be applying the normal rules of morality to football, which I thought was a thing of the past.

Possibly the best ever at the late run into the box. Even at 36 he still has it, would be great for some of our younger players to learn off him.

This
Mourinho has dropped a serious bollock here. In the grand scheme of things, giving him an extra year at Chelsea would have been peanuts but the advice, knowledge and experience he would pass on to their youngsters would be priceless.
So glad we will reap that
