25m euros a year for 20 years, that sounds positively cheap - either they don't know the full terms that are being proposed, or it is a tactic from our owner to hamstring them for two decades.

So if this goes through, & UEFA don't flag it, then they are agreeing that a company owned by the Abu Dhabi royal family & Sheikh Mansour are not one & the same. Otherwise you would have the owner of one club sponsoring another who are in the same competition, which would surely be a conflict of interest.

Therefore, the Abu Dhabi royal family would be free for one of it's companies to sponsor City without it being a 'related party' agreement.

And of course they would have a good relationship with Real Madrid, one of the first clubs anyone would want on board if they were toying with the idea of starting a new competition to rival the Champions League.

And of course Qatar sponsor Barca & PSG whilst Emirates sponsor Arsenal.

Interesting alternative cartel possibilities there.

Qatar have had a deal with Barca for years, maybe this is a region thing.

We aren't funded by the family but people at UEFA are trying to claim that any Abu Dhabi company that is likely to sponsor us, is open to question (they specified two in the settlement).

If they allow this, then they can't very well object to Abu Dhabi sponsorship of City in the future claiming it is the same thing as the Sheikh or overpriced due to his connection. Otherwise they are basically saying it's ok for City to sponsor Real Madrid. They can't have it both ways.
