Yes a big improvement. Not back to his best yet, but very involved and did a few good interceptions too. Similar improvement again next week please.

Unless he starts walking in free kicks again his will be a long season for him.

yaya plays in the 'engine' position though

Yaya goes forward & attacks, scores goals etc, then is expected to be perfect at the other end. If he misses a run or a tackle, he gets serious shit for it. But when Silva completely fails to do his job, & leaves us totally in the shit defensively, it hardly merits a mention. It's always been simple imo; don't rely on Yaya as a defender. Why should he have to track opponents for 90 mins when Silva or Nsri don't have to ?
It's not Yaya's job that Milner ended up doing anyhow, it's Silva's.
Yaya on about 75, 80 mins, sprinted back about 60 yards, robbed a Roma player & about 8 seconds later, conceded a harsh free kick on the edge of their box.
And he's getting shit for it.
It's not right.

I thought I would pop in to see if Yaya was getting the same stick as I have seen from a few on twitter! He didn't have a great game tonight but he wasn't alone yet others don't get the same grief because Yaya is the one to go for no it seems
