I saw the ad for the first time tonight and felt exactly like you do after watching it. Disgraceful. You'd think that an English broadcaster would be hoping that we do well in Europe but the knives are clearly out and you get the distinct impression that they can't wait for us to get knocked out. You can guarantee that if it was the dippers or the rags in our position the ad would only show the goals that they had scored and would be filled with hope and inspiration
It's hard to not get annoyed at but the the likes of Sky aren't interested in promoting the English team, they're there to promote their 'Dream Teams'. The whole aim of
that advert, and similar ones to it, are to entice the Rag & Dippers hoards in, increasing the viewing figures by pampering to the masses.
Always remember, Sky and the Rags have walked hand-in-hand since the the dawn of the PL and it's those 2 who've perpetuated the myth that the Dippers are, and have been, a real big hitter in the PL years. There is only one reason for this and that's down to how many plastics they have worldwide, nothing more.
