Just arrived home a short while ago and logged on to the 'Yahoo Sports' website to have a look at all the football results (didn't know anything about how the game went at the Swamp, or the result).

The immediate headline to hit the eyes was "Awesome Manchester Utd destroy QPR"......an absolutely, nauseatingly over the top reaction to besting a team who, already this early in the season, are going to be prime candidates for relegation. It was also reported that Butthead, in obviously bullish mood, reckoned that although they were very good today, this was only the start and they were going to get far better which, roughly translated, now means, I suppose, that they are going to win the League.......

There seems to be a reality shortfall in Swampland, but I only hope that all media accolades, added to Butthead's arrogant posturing, only succeed in heaping more pressure on the Scum and, when they do fall flat on their red faces, the fall will be harder for them because of that.


As an aside, I made the mistake of watching MOTD last night, for the first time in ages and, apart from anything else, it felt to me that Mario just does not look 'right' somehow, in a Scousepool red shirt. All in all, I'm convinced that, in a relatively short space of time, it's all going to end in tears.

What the United QPR game taught us if we didn't know all ready is that Appy Arry" is a busted flush. Another bankrupt club and massive aging and ordinary squad who he is totally unable to organise or motivate. If he stays its going to be embarrassing but a couple more hammerings and I'm pretty sure he'll be put out to grass. And Green is fucking awful.

Not so sure about that, if we finished second in our group and Arse, Chavs and Dippers won theirs, we would only be able to be drawn against four teams in the round of 16. If they all finished second we'd have a choice of seven, with a better chance of getting an "easier" team.
