Cant see it happening, would love to be wrong as he was one of my favourite players to watch when he was at Atletico.

Why can't you see it happening! AS sport newspaper has the same story. Loan with requirement to buy for 25 million euros next year. Wouldn't be surprising if a similar structure was planned for Falcao transfer. The negative part of this article is that City are checking with UEFA on FFP compatibility.

This may collapse but a deal for Negredo makes it a whole lot more likely.

if we do get him then Pellegrini's man management skills will be put to the test like never before trying to find playing time for Jovetic, Dzeko, Aguero, and Falcao and keeping them all happy. 4 strikers for 2 spots. i know its the exact same problem we have now but i don't think we've ever had all 4 healthy at once. if the injured Negredo leaves and the healthy (for now) Falcao comes in then we'll have 4 healthy guys raring to go.

Dzeko is gonna be bummed out. after being our best striker last season and signing a new deal he will now find himself behind Aguero and Falcao.

Wonder if Jovetic will be used more as a left winger like he was for Fiorentina.

It's strange taking a 29 year old player on loan knowing u have to pay £25 m for him when he is 30. Such is the complexity of deals now. Got my fingers crossed for Falcao now. Jovetic can play left hand side doing a similar job to big Dave or Nasri which should help to keep them all happy.

Having the two best out-and-out strikers in the world - that idea takes some getting used to (should it happen).

Yes.

I've not been this excited about a signing for ages. He's a helluva player - the best all round forward in the world arguably. I'll be buzzing if it goes through.

Latest news is that united have bid for falcao

I hope to god they don't trump us in his one, if we've let negredo go without a nailed on replacement signing we have fucked up. I can't see us dropping a bollock like that these days

Anybody notice Txiki's interview after the CL draw when he was asked about signings? Pellers also failed to state that we'd finished buying, preferring to wait for the transfer closure.
