Well, you see, here in good ol' North America we say "Stoke City at Manchester City"
"Man City vs Stoke City" simply means the two are playing. And our scores onthe television have home team and away team opposite of what you use

But we're not playing this game in North fucking America, are we? For the rest of the world, they do things logically.

Okay, forget that every single draw you've ever seen, if you've seen one, makes a point of saying "The home team is drawn first". Forget that every game you've ever watched has the home side listed first in the top corner where the score is. Forget that all results we post are listed with the home team first. Forget that any decent football site(so not american obviously) will have the scores with the home team first,

Forget all of that, the post directly above yours had this....

Not too exciting but at least were at home and my Blade colleagues will be willing us on.

Not sure what is going on in Canada, but I'll think you'll find that all the football/soccer scores and fixtures are presented in the traditional home-side-first convention here in the U.S.

Noteworthy that our major networks have actually caught onto that, since the conventional order for every other team sport is just the opposite (whether that's due to the implied "at" or whether it's been passed down from baseball, where home team bats last, I'm not sure).

Firstly Saul for the past hour you've just had me thinking we drew Stoke at home!!!!!

Secondly, what do you in Canada when it's played at a neutral ground? When we went to Wembley and we got the home end against Stoke did we go get changed at the Potteries?

The draw was a good one for us. Loads of all Prem League ties. It's funny how luck works; we seem to have had a run of favourable ties (in domestic comps that is) over last couple of years. As Pellers clearly wants to win as many trophies as he can then we should be good odds to get a long way through this competition.

Let me just get this clear. We're playing Canada in the next round at Stoke? Could be interesting.

No Peter, it is plainly obvious that we are playing Stoke away in Canada. Remember that the in Canada, the away team come 1st unless their wives complain.

Doomie will explain, he never comes 1st.

Seriously, this game is really in the middle of nowhere. Do they even have a decent pub there?
