Centre back just went in net for a shootout - scored his pen then saved two to send his team through (sorry can't spell them - from Bulgaria) knocking out Steauh

Best scenario
Benfica
City
CSKA/Olympiacos
Maribor/Ludogorets/Malmo

Worst scenario
Real Madrid/Bayern/Barcelona
City
Bayer L/ Atletic B.
Roma/Monaco

Think we will get
Aletico Madrid
City
Galatasaray
Bate ( Would love Maribor , big chance to see City live )

You can't be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline. It helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer.

Porto
CSKA
Anderlecht

That would be my preferred draw. Gives us the best chance of finishing top of the group. We were comfortable against CSKA last year, we have Mangala and Fernando to give us an insight into Porto and they are a weaker team in Pot 1, and Anderlecht is only a short journey to minimise jet lag which could affect out PL form. Don't fancy going off to a little known Eastern European team that could cause an upset.

Go placidly you guys.

We'll get drawn against whomsoever we're drawn against and when that charade is done and dusted, we'll have to go out and beat whichever side is on the pitch facing us.

Let everyone else worry about playing City, rather than ourselves worrying about anyone else.

I had to check to see how UEFA's Chumps Lge coefficient system worked which is as follows:

The club coefficient rankings are based on the results of clubs competing in the five previous seasons of the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League. The rankings determine the seeding of each club in all UEFA competition draws.

UEFA Champions League points system
First qualifying round elimination – 0.5 points
Second qualifying round elimination – 1 point
Group stage participation – 4 points
Group stage win – 2 points
Group stage draw – 1 point
Round of 16 participation – 4 points

Since 2009/10 clubs have been awarded an additional point if they reach the round of 16, quarter-finals, semi-finals or final.

NB Points are not awarded for elimination in the third qualifying round or play-offs, since those clubs move to the UEFA Europa League and are awarded points for participation in that competition.

UEFA Europa League points system
First qualifying round elimination – 0.25 points
Second qualifying round elimination – 0.5 points
Third qualifying round elimination – 1 point
Play-off elimination – 1.5 points
Group stage win – 2 points
Group stage draw – 1 point

Since 2009/10, clubs have been guaranteed a minimum of two points if they reach the group stage and are awarded an additional point if they get to the quarter-finals, semi-finals or final.

*Penalty shoot-outs do not affect the calculation system.

Coefficient calculation
Clubs' coefficients are determined by the sum of all points won in the previous five years, plus 20% of the association coefficient over the same period (33% before 2009).

These rankings will be updated after each round of UEFA club competition matches.

If ever there was a more convoluted arse about face way of doing things I have yet to hear of it. Arbitrary just doesn't begin to describe it but this is why the serial 4th placers in England are seeded in pot 1 and the best team is in pot 2 (3 in previous years).

The scum will be pot 1 in 2015/16 in the unlikely event of them qualifying next year. This of course makes a mockery of the concept of the word champion and so I propose a rebranding of this bollocks event - European Cup as before.

With no points scored this season they would probably be in 2 which would be nice

i'm worried, like doomy, that we could get a very tough draw like the first two times we were in.

we could also end up with another easy-ish draw, so hard to really tell.

the main thing that hurts us is that we have two less chances than pretty much every other club in the draw of getting a weaker 1st pot matchup because of arsenal and chelsea. that puts us at greater risk for landing the 3 giants, of whom we have drawn in each of the past three group phases.

fortunately there are a few weaker teams in pot 1, tough ones we will avoid in ours, and i am assuming we cannot draw liverpool who is the toughest pot 3 squad.

of course drawing roma in pot 4 would also be bad. that's the other one we do not want, says captain obvious.

Pathetic.

Sky sports news running a survey to ask who will go furthest in the CL this year.

They have it
Liverpool
Chelsea
Arsenal
Us.

All they are doing is bigging Liverpool up. Can't wait to see them get dropped in the group stages. Cunts.
