I fear the impact our pursuit of the Champions League will have on our chances of winning the league this year. We might end up with nish because of it.

i don't fear it. Our owners and Cheeky and Soriano clearly don't fear it either. The Count doesn't fear anything. We are going to operate like clockwork. We do our best in every competition. We want to win everything. Culturally, for me, that's as important a statement as any we can make, and i think it reflects well on the history of the club, and the fan's mentality. It's a humility that other clubs can't even bother with. We can take their cynicism, and their mafioso bollox and one up them with humble attitudes and trophies.

I'm a season card holder so I don't do it myself, but it's certainly possible. Loads of obvious 'non regulars' attend Champions League games. I think they have some kind of scam now where people are supposed to buy a membership card costing about 50 notes, which gives them the 'right' to buy tickets for games before they go on sale to the general public, but I would imagine tickets will also go on 'open' sale for that game.

This is me exactly! I hate this competition!

I just hope we don't waste too much energy on it if it costs us in the league. We are good enough to get out of the group and we should do, although the protectionist seeding system makes it 10x harder to do well in this competition than it should be.

I'm pleased with our league cup draw at least, I'd rather we concentrate on the domestic treble =)

while i appreciate the whole pull ourselves up by our bootstraps and get on with it mentality, I'm sorry, but this CL fix winds me up to no fucking end. if, god forbid, we fail to get out of the group, all of the smug, hypocritical cunts in the media/match commentators/wenger and rodgers/fans of other clubs/etc. will use it as a club to bash us for the rest of the season. pellegrini will be labeled a failure and suddenly be "under pressure". and the obvious irony is that if dippers, Chelsea or arse had had our draw, they would get absolutely fucking mullered.

Man City I think are getting punished for their emergence from the small time"

If the Scum Arsenal and United are in the top 4 this year they'd all be in pot 1 despite the rags absence this year. Our percentage chance of drawing Bayern Real or Barca would therefore be even higher next year as things stand. Defending champions from 7 leagues plus winners would offer us a much better chance of an easier draw even if we don't win the league.
