Stuart Brennan taking incoming from angry scum fans for pointing out some salient facts.

Net spend in million pounds over last 5 transfer windows:

PSG. 235

Scum. 165

Barca. 155

Chelsea.137

Real. 126

City. 107

Who's ruining football? And of course the scum haven't finished in this window.

Ah but they got their money through being more famous & getting bigger deals & selling more tat around the world.

We got some of our money from oil. Tat is good, oil is bad.

And it's not allowed to spend money in order to win stuff & actually become more famous & therefore make more money, you have to be famous already or you're not allowed. Competition is bad.

They are getting angry, aren't they? I found myself in a pub on Sat surrounded by the buggers telling me how we're ruining the game. The best line was how City just buy players, but the Trafforders develop players from their youth team. I hadn't the heart to suggest they tell me how many of their youth team played against Sunderland, that and also because I was by myself and there were loads of them. No wonder they call the swamp the theatre of dreams - I've yet to meet a rag nowadays with any grip on the real world. They're going to have to wake up sometime.

One rag on twitter said we should spend within our means. He mus'nt realise we could outbid anyone and still not scratch the surface of the Shiekhs money.

One rag tweeted Brennan that the sheikh was investing his money to buy political influence in East Manchester! ROFLMAO! Another tweeted that the rags were marrying money with history and we had no history. Ever heard of Bert Trautman or Bell Lee Summerbee? What a bunch of sad tossers!

The only thing City are ruining is scum's free ride. FFP was brought in to ensure that no other viable clubs could acquire some finance. Imagine if PSGs owners fancied buying Ashley out instead of going there?...it would be carnage at old trafford

They do my head in. One Rag fan told me we are ruining football by having so few English players. He suggested we should bring young English players through the ranks like they did with Ryan Giggs. He also told me that Bacon face only ever made one mistake in the transfer market (Veron) and his main strength was chucking out trouble players. I allowed him Stam, but pointed out Roy Keane left when he was 34. He did nt suddenly become opinionated at 34 and he has the worst disciplinary record in prem history which Fergie put up with. Ferdinand missed drug tests etc but Fergie did nt kick him out. I could go on destroying these myths but we know already

"We're not like other clubs who can spend fortunes on proven goods. We invest in players who will be with the club for a long time; who will create the character of the club; who will create excitement for our fans. We are very proud of that and we are going to continue that way. We're good at it. If you are good at it then stick with it."

As Ferguson put it: ' Over the last two or three years we have seen very wealthy owners become part of football clubs and therefore go on this kamikaze spending spree' As a senior director of the scum what does he think of their current spending spree?

Where did you get those numbers? Not that I doubt you I just love to drop a reference on ignorant people so there's no rebuttal.

Those figures were shown on or before 18th August (someone did a screen capture off Skysports). Therefore it doesn't include the £60M for Di Maria.............

RVP (29) £24m
Fellaini (25) £27.5m
Mata (25) £37m
Herrera (25) £29m
Di María (26) £60m

Tbf to the drunken fool, they spent some fortunes on unproven goods & others on proven shits. Partially right, I reckon.

According to that screenshot City had spent 107m, twice that is 214m.

If you add the 59.7m for Di Maria to the 165m already quoted on the screenshot that comes to 224.7

Therefore they have spent over double what City have in the last 5 windows.

Gotta hand it to Brennan - he's admirably and feverishly defending City's corner on the whole FFP thing over on twitter.
