Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Very good player. Lots of energy, better than any central midfielders and wingers they have. Also an odious, diving cunt.

£64m is mad though. That's Fernandinho + Jovetic.

Mad.

Regardless of the fee he's a really good player and I'll be gutted if it goes through. The less top class players that they have the better.

Makes you a certain sort of person to become such a miserable cunt over such a short space of time.

I won't say "enjoy" this time, because that ship clearly sailed some time ago.

Get help.

Ancellotti confirms Di Maria is off. Balague says 80 million euros plus add ons. United offered 60 million Real asked for 90 and looks like they got it. Add ons will end up being paid. Real to Ed pay us 90 million. Er OK. Brilliant stuff Ed!

I wish someone at City would push the quotes by Ferguson, Gill, Wenger etc blaming City for inflating the transfer market.

This, plus Real Madrid etc all gives great substance to the case next year which says ffp just enables the traditional clubs to keep spending whilst others can't & therefore is the wrong legislation for the job.

Funny how the market now is making Sergio look like the bargain of the century.

It's so glaringly fucking obvious isn't it. How none of the "smaller" clubs managers haven't given a sound bite ridiculing all of the top clubs (including us) I just don't know. It's so fucking blatant.

That's because the smaller clubs just paid £12M for Shane Long.

It's always been glaringly obvious, it's just that that's the way a lot of people want it to be. From the people making a fortune out of it down to the glory hunting sheep, with nothing more in their empty heads than being on the bandwagon.

Make no mistake, Di Maria is a fantastic player. Often the best player on the pitch for RM. I didn't worry about van pussy or mata, but this one worries me, though I wonder if he'll adapt to he physicality here.

Btw, RM are masters at mugging PL clubs for big fees on their cast offs. Ozil. Do Maria. If we are still chasing isco I hope we are sensible.

I think DiMaria would have been a great signing for City, at about £25-30 mil maybe 35 at an absolute push, due to recent bullshit inflation such as Fellaini, Shaw. That's the realistic max you would want to pay if he was going to come here, otherwise he's not worth it.

This is an absolute fucking joke. If he was a genuine 60 mil plus player, Real Madrid would be buying him not fucking selling him.

It's like the rules of FFP were made up and us punished just so that the big boys could have a free run at whichever player they wanted.
