This Weeks Other Games | 23-24 Aug 14

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Scum would probably have won that game with Di Maria in the team. He will most likely save them plenty of times this season with great individual actions (just like Tranaldo used to do).
But he's still not what they really need. That defense and midfield is horrible. Us, both scouse teams, Arsenal and Chelsea will walk all over them. Possibly Spurs and Toon as well...

Buttheads interview is painful.

Potential relegation 'six pointer' against Burnley ??

I don't think anyone is measuring us against the scum, just really enjoying their discomfort. After all, they took the piss for years, so it's really wonderful watching the arrogant fucks getting a bit of karma.

I had to double check this.

Let's take a moment and let that sink in. Rodders scored against United who failed to win.

I don't see much difference between that performance & 90% of rags away games in the last 5 years. The only difference is the lack of o.g. pen red card, plus oppo having a ' bit' more confidence. They still tried to lose though.

They scored against the run of play with a nothing cross from Valencia. Same ol same ol. They got away wjth atrocious defending. Same. Young dived, no pen. Different. Had they been playing away at Arsenal, they probably still would have won.

Ferguson got away with fucking murder.

Watching Barca. Messi looks a different player to the guy who was miserably plodding about the pitch last year... he seems to be running at people with pace and enthusiasm again and it's nice to watch as he's bloody mesmerising on form.

...fuck me. I wasn't kidding with my earlier post.

He's on fire. This is the player of two years ago who scored 70+ in one year. Absolutely on fire and everywhere and its a pleasure. Young lad they have to called Munir is brilliant - 18 years old but helluva touch on him.

Ridiculously good tonight isn't he? He looks about two yards quicker. What a difference confidence makes.

And this was supposed to be their soft start to the season.
