Record Scorer?

So with our star men signing longer term contracts, and with us being a prolific side in front of goal, which player has the best chance of making the top ten marksmen in the club'a history? Can anybody become number one and write themselves into the very fabric of the club? Without injuries I'm sure Sergio would piss it in three seasons, but is that likely? Can Yaya score a load more? Will Dzeko plod through another hundred in four years?
What do you think? Where can the current crop get to?

Aguero scored 28 in 34 games last season and I think that was his worst injury wise, Eric Brook's record stands at 179 I think.
Kun scored his 76th goal for us on the weekend, and signed a 5 year deal. I think he's our best chance.
Edin has 66 goals, but his 26 in 46 return last season was by far his best and seems to be getting better every year, also a new 5 year deal...whoot. I can see him finishing his career with us close, if he can build on last season he could break it but I'd expect Kun to get there first.

I think if Edin saw out the whole of his contract he'd get close. If Kun sees out his contract and stays (relatively) fit I think he'll get over 200. This Ian Nacho fella, that's a whole other question....

Yes.
But we've been wrong in the past.

Has there been any news on this guy since preseason?

There's an old news article from when we were first negotiating with him, quoting his dad saying he has signed a pre-contract and will join us when he turns 18 in October. (Assuming it was true and accurately reported). Not long to go until we find out.

I did wonder about mentioning Nacho but there are so many variables to consider, it seemed perhaps more than a little premature to get giddy about him. But with an even spread of luck it is possible.
I'm fairly certain Sergio will be in the top ten but to score another hundred or so will require a level of fitness you get the feeling might elude him. He certainly has the ability to become one of the Premier League era's greatest strikers.

Aguero will score another 101 goals easy. Probably within 3 seasons even with his injury record. We are bound to get 1 season when he is mostly injury free and when we do that will be 40+ goals.

He was.
We left him in the reserves for far too long & he lost it, playing shit football without being taught anything useful. He was a better footballer at 16 than he was at 21. Should have been fast tracked into the first team at a very young age. Nacho is the same imo & we have one or two others who may fall into that catagory.
Aguero will be the first to break the record, but probably not the last.

This I think hinges on us selling Negredo in January.
We need to give this potential an avenue to the first team.

There was talk from officials of NYC pre season that they were hopeful of him going there. Whether that's jumping the gun, or a plan which has been discussed I don't know, but I suppose any kind of deal with them is possible. He could start his career here just training, playing a bit of EDS & perhaps a bit of first team, then do a season over there, then come back here after their season finishes, have a break, do pre season & start officially at City in Jan 2016.
Alternatively, if he's the dog's bolocks straight away, we just keep him & send perhaps one of the EDS lads over.

I'd be very surprised if Negredo is still here after the January window and maybe even at the end of this window. A broken metatarsal is hardly a career threatening injury and he could be ready to play at the end of September/ early October. There are multiple reports that he really fancies a move to Valencia and they have serious cash behind them. Whether Iheanachu is ready to take his place in October( we can't register him until then) is another matter. There's also the matter of a work permit which can't remotely be assumed. A loan to NY till the summer might suit us.
