That's disappointing. Wonder whether we ever try and out conditions in loan agreements to the effect that loanees should start if fit. Doesn't seem much point in them sitting on the bench.

Let the boy have his chance. Sometimes playing with the big boys wil make or break him. We are in a position as a club where only the best will do so if he makes it, fantastic, and if he doesn't, sell him on for a profit abd wish him all the best.

He has the pace, he has an eye for goal. The only attribute missing is confidence. I know this could take a hit if it doesn't work out, but if he is goibg to be a player for us he has to step up at some point. If he does play and pkay well his confidence will soar and we have a tremendous player on our hands.

Early days at Barnsley but the signs look good

I agree. Sterling is only 19 and has already a season of Premier League football behind him. Flanagan is only 19/20 too and he did fine. I reckon Cole could be equally as good. Sometimes you have to just throw them in there and see if they sink or swim. Perhaps over the past few years we've been guilty of waiting too long to introduce promising youngsters.
Still, next season we should be looking to introduce him into the squad as one of the 4 strikers.

Had to check on Flanagan as he made his debut against us a while back. He is 22 in January. Slightly older than you thought but would have displaced Johnson if he kept injury free and they had a decent left back.

Lopes struggled a bit when he did get on.

Not a great side at all.

Hope Guidetti does well. Very unlucky.

Denayer had a real eventful game for Celtic yesterday. He fucked up a couple of times near the end when he got a bit tired & played offside, but the the other kid didn't, but he really had a hell of a lot of defending to do, much more than we usually see a City defender do, & he blocked & won a lot of duels plus his distribution was very good. Not sure about his aerial strength as a cb yet but he's a player & could imo do a Fernando type job if needed.

I wouldn't be confident at all if Nasti or Boyata had to cover as many situations as Denayer did. He has nobody giving him instructions or looking after him just has to do it himself. Really doesn't seem to let it get to him. I recon Dedryk & Nasti's arses would go.

I meant to post about him scoring last night after it was on our regional news - couldn't be arsed searching for this thread though. Good on him.

Going well for Devante so far. Should sharpen him up nicely. That was another proper goalscorer's goal.

Just seen an African football site which claims a high ranking 'City official' has told them Iheanacho is going out on loan in January.

It certainly was a good finish and it was a nice bit of football in the build-up play.

Could almost have been PabZab playing the ball in from the right.

He's got the HiFi humming and is packing his pipe with something organic and gluten free. He can't be arsed with football conspiracies.

All I know is that the dutch FA are investigating the whole ownership structure at Vitesse, and the ties to Chelsea are a part of that investigation.
So far nothing has been leaked as to what they have found, so I guess that the investigation is still ongoing.

Don't project your hipster dreams on me, old man!
I've been more of a yuppie today: 4 course lunch and wine arrangement at a Michelin Star restaurant. I'm feeling very fat, but happy at the moment.
