BlueMoonUGA wrote:So, the official City website released their loan watch updates this morning with the likes of Denayer, Roberts, Byrne, Unal, and Naah. While I know they are feeding us the kool-aide by only showing us the highlights, it does look like we have some of the most promising young talent in Europe.

I know the Dutch second division isn't the premiereship, Enes Unal looks to be our most promising prospect. With zucilini a close second. Thoughts?

Cheers

I'd say maybe in the future for Unal. He had quite the record in Turkey and could turn out later. Looked very weak/raw when he played for us.

No for Zuchini. He's had too many chances and looks average when at his best. Failed to get a game on his past loans with reports of him partying too much.

Hopefully Enes has been hitting the gym in Holland and has bulked up.

To be fair Silva has done alright in the Premiership weighing about 9 stone.

Yes but Silva can keep his feet when he goes body to body. Enes went down at the slightest touch.

That'll come with experience. It's as much in the head as in the body.

Bodgers to Celtic - impact on Roberts? If he can get him playing like Sterling did when they won the league, it'll be great. If he treats him like he did the following season, then not so good.

Either way, can't be worse than Delia was, struggling to win a one team league

Mooy scored the winner for Huddersfield at Leeds today. A 25 yard screamer. Should get a tidy profit when we sell him on

Any thoughts on how our development loanees are faring out with other clubs vs. those still with the Academy and first team squad with respect to getting with Pep's programme for integration into the first team? I mean, are the likes of Roberts, Unal, Celina, Denayer(!), Mooy(!!) learning anything that will be useful for Pep's style or have they already had one foot put out of the door?

I really think that if Pep wanted to work with someone they would be here, like Aleix Garcia and Ian Nacho. with the possible exception of Roberts where we seem to have got forced into an 18 month loan by Celtic (18 months or nothing).

And Mooy, who knows wtf is going on there? I really thought he is good enough for our squad when we bought him but then off he goes to Huddersfield. At the age of 25. Maybe there was a disagreement in the hierarchy? Maybe he was required to test himself, which he seems to be doing quite well?

A quick glimpse tells us the following:

Enes Unal scored a brace for FC Twente at the weekend http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/ ... al-8865264

Tosin scored for NAC Breda over the weekend in 4-2 win

Denayer had to tell his team van-Arnholt himself that he was taking his place in the line up 15 minutes before KO!!..

Joe Hart kept his first clean sheet in Turin

Unal and Celina both scored for Twente. These two are supposed to be talented, so are they just getting game time and being league tested prior to being adapted to Pep's way of playing?

Tosin played for the u23s in the win at Sunderland at the weekend. Fisayo is his elder brother and is a Breda player.

Unal scored another one for Twente today. He's got quite a goal scoring record so far this season.

Yeah and Celina also played from start.

I'm happy he's doing well thus far.

Also fair to consider Jozy Altidore once tore up the Dutch league as did Depay. However, so did Suarez.
