Keep hearing us being described as last years champions on sky et al and it's really annoying me.

We are the CURRENT champions whether you like it or not.

Must be such a bitter pill to swallow for the United/Liverpool cartel. Wankers

Well we are going to have to just piss them off more by going out and winning the league again.

We're also next year's champions if that's any consolation.

Probably because they've already crowned 'King Louis' and the Rags Champions of the closed season, we're now irrelevant.

In fact it they should be saying 'End of season winners', the Dippers were the winners up until then.

I think some of us are getting a little over sensitive here ....

Are we suggesting everyone in the media has gotten together and decided "Lets only say last years champions, and not current champions, that'll show em!"

Of all things to get annoyed about this is about the stupidest one I've seen yet.

Of course it matters. Every team for as long as I can remember gets referred to as Current Champions. Plus if they are being like this we are this year's champions not last year's.

In fact the opening credits of motd always have the winning team lifting the trophy to open the show. This year it will probably show Gerrard rallying the troops instead!

It might show some of their fans in their champions t-shirts and them celebrating a goal and then just cut to the studio. Possibly show the league table after 34 games or something as well
