Of course it matters. Every team for as long as I can remember gets referred to as Current Champions. Plus if they are being like this we are this year's champions not last year's.

It might show some of their fans in their champions t-shirts and them celebrating a goal and then just cut to the studio. Possibly show the league table after 34 games or something as well
