Agreed. At the start of the season I had them down for fighting out fourth place, but they are way off at present. It will be interesting when they play each other as neither team can defend.

Having said that, their two games could both end, ironically, in 0-0 scorelines.
They could do something useful though, in kicking each other off the park and causing loads of injuries; hopefully not trivial.

I'd rather they both get fucked and the likes of Villa, Everton or the Saints got it, but I won't live in dreamland and expect the ref's to do enough to get them both in the CL spots, possibly at the expense of us from what I'm seeing from the ref'ing performances so far.
In the words of my Old Man, "Life will never be the same without Man City, so get it in while you can".

Especially if the Scum get dumped into the Europa with all the games that come thick and fast therein.......not to mention the ignominy they would face through having to play in a (perceived) second class competition (especially when they failed to win it as well).
The revenue they would receive is minimal when compared to the Champion's League and would do little for the Glazer's peace of mind.

Trouble is, all the teams who would be likely to sneak in, are falling over themselves to fuck it up, already.

Rodgers making excuses left right and centre.

When you're a tactical and strategic footballing colossus like Brendan Bodgers, you're on a far higher intellectual and esoteric plane which transcends mere genius.
In such circumstances all other mortals of lesser and more mundane mental capabilities are bound to let you down because they cannot fully begin to comprehend your own innately complex visionary requirements.
Bodgers is the epitome of the perfect Scouser.....it's not his fault.

I think you'll find that the penalties scored by the Scouse were a result of Brenda's tactical genius, while those scored by Boro were not his fault.
