What's The Priority?

Postby Beefymcfc » Fri Aug 01, 2014 9:38 pm

We're getting close and after tomorrows friendly we're into the Charity Shield and then the season really gets going.

But what's the priority for you this season, and for that, what's the clubs priority, Premier or Champions League?

Semi final of cl
win or come second in the prem
Win the FA cup
Win the LC

AND EMBARRASS THE STINKING RAGS..HOME AND AWAY.
THEY SAY SWEARING IS DUE TO A LIMITED VOCABULARY. I KNOW THOUSANDS OF WORDS, BUT I STILL PREFER "FUCK OFF" TO "GO AWAY"

For me it's winning league titles back to back and a good showing in the CL.

Hope it's the same for the club.

ps I'm being greedy now but I want the FA Cup just to lay them Wigan ghosts to rest.

Retaining title and further progress in CL is the number one priority.
Cups are not a priority, just a bonus.

Is that your opinion or the clubs mate? Would a semi final, or greater in the CL compensate for a 2nd in the PL, especially if we're the last English team in it?

It would be my priority. No second in CL would not compensate for second in prem. but CL win would, but I do not think this team is ready to win the CL just yet.

Since we've won the league twice now i'd prefer to see us win the CL this season as it's the only one we haven't won.

Me being who I am, I don't think we'd be allowed to win the CL at the moment, similar to when Chelsea lost the game to Barca. But, eh, oh.

However, and being me again, I'd love to win back-to-back PL titles, it would really show dominance. Moving on from where we were last season in the CL is a must, as long as we don't get a shit draw and then drawn against one of the big names.

Who will it be this season, Barca, Real or Bayern?

Priority is definitely to reach CL final and back-to-back BPL champions. After that anything else is a bonus.

We need another flying start to the season and Jovetic coming good this season!

Toure to shine all season alongside Fernando & Kun! xx

And? That'd be a feat in itself.

CL wouldn't be my priority but I think we need to win it, to be really taken serious as a big club in world football. Saying that I'd settle for back to back league title and a pot.

We need to beat a big team in the latter stages, ie. last 16. Note how our win in Munchen was put down to Bayern already having qualified and then a mistake by Pellers.

This season we need to beat one of the etablished clubs and do it convincingly over 2 legs. We won't get a club like the Rags get, it will always be a griz to get there.

Oh I agree it would be amazing to win back-to-back titles. Before we had won either I always wanted to win the league more. I was more saying that the CL is now the elusive one and since I've experienced us win the league, I'd love to experience us winning that and be able to say that I've seen City win everything - something I never thought I'd be able to say.

I think we can beat any team over two legs. However the Barca home game was a low point last season. We spent all season taking the game to whoever we played with great success and then we face a (relatively) weak Barca side (compared to recent times) and we played like a Championship relegation side away to Chelsea. Even the rags showed more adventure against Bayern,
Whoever we get this time, don't let the occasion get the better of us and don't alter our way of playing for anyone and I'm sure we'll do just fine.

That was the biggest fuck up of the eason for me. After the whole 'We don't change our system' approach, we change our system; we played right into their hands. At leat in the second leg the lads went out fighting, regardless of the result.

No matter what we win it will always be prem 1st, cl 2nd to me.

I'd happily go many years winning them Prem and just be happy with being competitive in Europe.

Cups are a very nice bonus as well
