As I understand it, they're going to play the referee at the head of a Christmas Tree formation.

That lunatic eel has been toying with a 3-5-2, this league will cut his wingbacks to shreds with that system.

Looking at it from an objective view, I think they should adopt the 4-2-3-1 with Herrera(and Vidal if they get him) behind Mata, Januzaj and Shrek with Princess up top. Still need a lot more in defence though as they look average at best back there(aside from de Gea).

If they actually come out of their own half they could get ripped to shreds. His tactics for Holland seemed to be; all sit back, lump it up to Robben, RVP & see if they score, if not, draw.

System they are paying or playing ?

They still have a 200 mill warchest to spend.

Edit:

Will Rooney need a vice captain to help him string a sentence together , when the ref flips the coin ?

It's not easy to decide 'Heads or Tails' ?

Also noting that the Rags appear to have a minor injury crisis going into the first game. Still, pretty much having just one game a week should help them.

LvG doesn't seem to realize that they don't have the personnel to play a 3-5-2. or, really, any sort of defense, but especially not a 3-5-2.
Januzaj at wingback? yeah right. that kid aint defending.
I'm not really a City fan. I'm just here for attention.

Funny how the system they've been working on and doing so well with suddenly falls apart and gets changed once they play a lower tier club who are not using the game as a warm-up.

They're still a few players short of a CL place unless somebody really fucks up. Arsenal tried to copy them but the ref lent a helping hand.

Saying that, I'm not quite sure how we'll do tomorrow but what I am sure of is that we'll be at least 12 points above them come the end of the season.

Good point but I'm sure there'll get their Rag share of luck through the season.

When I saw their line up, I was disappointed it was only Swansea, as I thought a decent side would take them apart. In the end, it's quite funny, as his start is now worse than Moyles'.

I miss old Davee but hopefully 'King Louis' can step-up to the plate.

Wishful thinking on my part. Would be really shocked if the twats didn't finish higher than seventh. One can dream though

Didn't watch the game, no doubt I'll catch MOTD when I get home....but this from the half time ticker....

Shano Leybourne here in Enfield: 'Although I am a big fan of United's youths I think it's too much too young. You have to ease it into them not throw them in at the deep end. Still though 4-1 united.'

These youngsters he is thinks are too young are 20 and 21. When does he expect them to come good?
