Mangala at last?

Daily Mail saying City hope to finalise Mangala deal over next 48 hours. Third Party ownerships are a nightmare to deal with. The delay is now costing Pellegrini time working with the player and getting him fit before the season starts. Can't see him playing against Newcastle as it is. Infuriating.

Wouldn't have started anyway. Will be eased into the prem as we can't really afford to drop points early on with our fixture list. Probably won't start against Liverpool either.

This window is reminding me of the last time we won the league, we didn't do nearly enough business and everyone around us strengthened.

yr silly. We've added just enough to a league-winning side. Last time we did nearly nothing and then panic bought a whole slew of cunts, some of which have become sorta decent-ish but most of which are not long term stories for City.

Fernando, Big Willy, and if the Mangler comes thru...all excellent players. The Zucchini looks has done so well in preseason i can hardly believe it, and Sagna was free.

Pretty awesome window with the bullshit of FFP limiting us. Actually couldn't imagine us doing better...oh wait...we're selling Rodwell for a tenner? Bonus. We might actually clear out enough that we have a 30M wedge to strengthen with in Jan even with the FFP garbage. Pretty fucking sweet.

cheers

I'd favour the right hand side.

But David Silva would have Nasty in knots, then again Kompany,Toure and Aguero.

I think so, but he has to be at the club two years before he can be B listed for europe.

Tuttosport claiming that Nastasic is almost certain to go to Juventus this summer. He's certainly going nowhere until Mangala is on board.

Suppose it makes sense although I would be sorry to see him go. With Mangala we would have 3 experienced foreign with 2 home grown back ups. We also need toamove at least 1 foreign player from squad as only allowed 16 foreign in CL & 17 in PL

If I'm honest, I'll be happy to see him go, I just don't think he has what it takes and his decission making is often poor and has cost us frequently. As (I think Ted) points out he does not command an ariel domminance

He's not a bad player, but I doubt he'll ever be a special player

Agree with this, for a lad who is 6ft 2" tall, Nasty is so so poor in the air, it's shocking.

If he does go, I won't be too sad. He's decent, nothing more than. Reads the game well but put him in a physical tussle and he's done for.

He'll probably do well in Italy though, slower pace, not as robust tackles and tussles, should suit him well.

If Negredo could re-discover his form of early last season, the Negredo-Jovetic combination up front (as in the team on the right) looks a bit interesting.

On the face of it, it could be quite lethal.

I don't rate Nastasic very highly but imo it would be madness to let him go at this time unless we are signing a replacement as well as Mangala.

We should not trust Boyata & I'd rather bring Steve Redmond out of retirement than use Rekik. We needed Lescott on numerous occasions last season, so chances are we will need the 4th cb to step in, perhaps at crucial times this season.

Perhaps MCFC are waiting for arsene wenger to approve the deal.

Boyata would be a better player if he were trusted more. He needs confidence. One good game will boost his confidence and he can be a player for us. I hope.
