German press report that we're interested in Benedikt Howedes of Schalke. Could be Plan C if Roma asking for too much for Benatia and Mangala doesn't want to come. He has played at left back so presumably he's left footed.

He's actually right footed and played mostly as CB/RB so far. Also, I don't think he's anything special.

He played left back against Portugal in the World Cup. Maybe he's two footed. I've no idea how good he is.

He is a shite left back and clearly one of the weakest players in the German team in that position, thats not to say he isnt a decent centre back, for anything under 20m he might be worth a punt considering the prices of the rest.
derby day the scores were level,
