Has finally signed for Everton on a three year deal. Liked the guy and will be sorry to see him leave. Wish him all the best for the last stage of his career. The sort of player you wonder what he does when you sign him and you wonder how to replace him when he leaves. A top pro. A pleasure to have had your service

dont agree that we should've let him go but since he was out the door anyways I'm happy he went to Everton. he will have a big role there and play for a great manager.
I'm not really a City fan. I'm just here for attention.

Best of luck to one of the most criminally underrated Englishmen in years. Top pro and helped bring us trophies.

Completely agree with that. One of the most intelligent players in recent years.

Good luck to him.

Very good player and a really important signing for us at the time. He helped us to progress to the level we are at now.

Thanks GB and good luck.

3 year deal, he is 33! How did he negotiate that? Its good for Barry who did great for us in the 4 years he played for us, under-rated but its right for him to go from City now, he would struggle to get into our midfield. He is a decent player but at 33 he is only going in one direction.

Cheers GB

He was my favourite player for much of his time at City and before that at Villa he was always a player I admired. Great servant to the clubs he has represented.

It's going to be weird seeing him play against us. I hope he has a nightmare.

Never criticise a man until you've walked a mile in his shoes.
That way when you do criticise him you'll be a mile away.
And you'll have his shoes.

Correct.
Fine player but now that he has completely lost whatever pace he ever had, he would struggle with us.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

With him gone Zabba is the only one left from Hughes's signings, correct? A group of players who for whatever their strenghts and shortcomings might have been, enabled City to take top four contender and more.

I'll miss him. The perfect holding player in 5 man midfield.

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

Thought Kompany was one of Hughes' signings? Could be wrong

Correct, two left. I definitely would not have thought that these two would be the ones still here 6 years down the road.
