On Talksport yesterday - apparently an unnamed City coach told him the club regards Zabba as untalented - listen for yourself

He might be untalented but he is the best right back in the best team in England so he must have something going for him.

This the guy that said Paulinho was a far better buy than Fernandinho last year?

Did Paulinho play for Spurs at all, other than anonymously? Love these 'experts'.

Nail hit on the head there with the previous two posts. Vickery must mean "Fuckwit" in some language somewhere.

City's previous player of the season and currently short-listed again - on a long term contract and one of the first names on the team sheet - obviously City don't rate him. So who is your source Vickery, HP or Heinz Ketchup?

I don't think it was a slight at Zab's, more him using a 'source' to back-up his arguement that Zab wasn't the most talented. I'm just trying to think what he wants him to do though, be Lionel Messi, Francesco Totti, Franco Baresi and Marco van Baston rolled all up in one?

Why can't he just be Mad Frank, the Zabaleta that we all know and love.

PS. Where does he say 'City Don't Rate Him'?

Vickery is not worth reading or listening to. In fact, the quality of BBC Sports reporting has gotten progressively worse.

On the other hand, Everton manager, Roberto Martinez has also been a commentator for the World Cup. During the most recent Argentina match, Roberto Martinez said that Pablo Zabaleta is one of the very best right backs in England and also, definitely one of the best in the world! Roberto Martinez has both played and managed at a top level, so I'd say that Roberto's praise for Pablo is far more meaningful and accurate than any criticism from Tim Vickery, who has never played professionally! Vickery has lived in Brazil since the 90's and like many residents of Brazil, he is very biased against and resentful towards the Argentinian footballers!

When I saw "on Talksport" all credibility of any information that followed went out of the window.

Roberto Martinez never says a bad thing about anyone though

Wonderwall, actually Roberto Martinez has been very critical of many teams, during his World Cup comments, so far. However, he's also a wonderful diplomat, who has been the most even-handed and he assesses both teams very fairly.

While all of Roberto's fellow pundits were obsessing over Lionel Messi's influence, Roberto Martinez made a point of singling Pablo Zabaleta out for praise, as they were reviewing Argentina's defensive capabilities.

You do know that the majority of posters on here rated Micah as the better right back in Zabba's first season. Zabs first season wasn't that awesome. It's entirely plausible that he wasn't rated.
