City are planning to put the freeze on their injury problems next season by fitting a cryogenic chamber at their new training complex.

Blues stars will be able to use the equipment – in which they will spend up to three minutes at 120 degrees below zero dressed only in shorts – after matches and as part of rehabilitation.

Wonder if Yaya will come out and say "it's unfair that City ordered a freeze chamber I wanted a heat chamber but city obviously don't love me".

This is used by professional rugby players. Science says it is beneficial in that it speeds up recovery time. Excellent, continue.

120 degrees below zero ought to fucking cure cancer ffs.

Seriously....3 minutes in your shorts in that? i bet it's so fucking cold you don't even feel it and just want to die after like 15 seconds. i'd love to try it out next time i stub my toe on the coffee table. That shit hurts!

cheers

It wont start to really hurt until you come out and your blood circulation gets going again. It's a horrible feeling, and you can't really say if it's pain or a incredible fucking itch.

OK, I obviously never experienced -120 centigrade, but I have gone through the ice in minus 25.

just because yr missus says yr as cold as ice doesn't mean you can compare this.

Go back to the ham radio and indie singles in the attic. You were happy then.

Clearly a gimmick to discourage injuries.

Feeling a bit sore, Jack? Ice chamber for you.....

Mind you, Zabba would go in there for fun, then come out and play 90 mins plus extra time and pens.
