Breaking on the Guardian.

Grade 1 muscle tear.

Never bloody fit and if a decent off came in for him you would have to consider it.

He forced himself just to be fit for the World Cup, then this happens.

Gutted.

It was breaking news on the Guardian with more details to follow just as I finished my lunch. Looks like they have pulled the story.

With Aguero and Jovetic rarely fit and Negredo allegedly homesick, I'm wondering just who our glorious midfield will pass to? Thank goodness Bosnia are out so at least one striker is ready

Although many would consider this heresy, I have to agree with you. Nobody in this squad is indispensible, and with him supposedly being our top striker, we simply can't afford for him to miss half of every single season through injury.

Toure, Aguero, Rodwell, Jovetic are all walking a very fine line for me, and the club seriously have to be considering how we would cope in the forward departments if Dzeko was every injured.

Wasn't fit when we signed him & has rarely been fit for any length of time during his City career. I was posting on here in his first season, that you could see when he was walking off at half time; he wasn't moving the same on one side of his body, as the other.

When he is actually fit, he is right up there with the Ronaldos etc. I recon that's about ten games since we signed him.

When at 100% he is two yards faster than the Aguero we normally see week in week out, seriously quick. He is scared to give it 100% in a sprint most of the time, because he is often out for a month or more when he does.

It was clear in Argentina's first two games that he was not fit. Even if they get to the final I cant see playing any more part, at least he shouldn't, continually rushing back form injury is a recipe for disaster.
He should not play until the season starts.

I agree ; sell for anything north of 50. I kept on saying we need to recruit another class forward this summer.

Those of you that would consider selling Aguero need to give your heads a serious wobble. Mind his recent spate of injuries is a concern tbh

Its no good keeping him if hes injured more often than not - it was injury free Dzeko that finally won us the league mate....we need reliable players like him in the team otherwise we would have been fucked.

Hopefully this enforced rest has to be the answer.
