So why is it happening?

As it was the centre forward, it won't have been 'his man'. Someone went missing.

At Everton it was his man.

edit: Or was it Fernandinho's? They look the same on a four-inch square Joan.

Who were the centre-halves marking? Kompany appeared to be marking Mertesacker. Where was Demichelis?

We miss Dzeko in these situations, that is for sure.

Racist. It was Fernandinho that was supposed to be marking Naismith against Everton. Charlie Nicholas couldn't tell them apart when Fernandinho scored against Everton and later apologised for it.

I remember getting security to drag a customer out of the Casino once ,he was sitting on a roulette table with a red shirt on so I told security, its the cunt with a red shirt on.When they dragged him off the table he was going fucking ape ,bawling shouting and screaming and it was at that point that I realized it was the wrong cunt, as the real culprit with another red shirt on was on another table.

At the end of the day both were kicked out , the way I looked at it ,was that eventually, the other cunt was bound to be found guilty of something that warranted being kicked out....and anyone wearing a red shirt is fair game for being kicked out in my book.

I'm racist to anyone wearing red.

I suppose you could call that positive discrimination. It's a policy, some places.

It is absolutely not a good point. We have Yaya Toure, a man who has the passing/controlling ability of Xabi Alonso but also offers much more offensively. Most people don't know how lucky they are to have this incredible player in the side.

I don't think I've seen a more boring player for City in recent times. He's not good enough to play the holding role on his own, he's not quick enough or mobile enough to get about the pitch. He's pointless with the ball at his feet I just don't get this purchase. I'd have preferred to keep zucillini as sub and play Fernandinho in the holding role and spent the 15m on someone else!!

I'm not writing him off but on the evidence so far he's shall we say looking a tad on the mediocre side. It's not looking like he's got the ability to be anything more than a bit part player.I certainly haven't seen much to suggest otherwise.

Although Fernando hasn't set the world on fire, he has already been the difference between winning/losing/drawing quite a few games. Some of his defensive play, has been nothing short of magnificent & as good as anything any City defender has produced in the modern era.

If people are rightly pointing out the stuff he hasn't done especially well, they should also try to look out for the stuff he has, & give due credit.

For me it's simply a case of whether he gets upto speed for Premier League football. Right now, it's taking its toll of him, but after the next pre season I expect to see him a yard or two quicker & somewhat fitter. Then we will find out.

But some of his defending has been abslutely fantastic & completely bailed us out when we would have conceded goals.

Its a good job he cant speak or read English or he would top himself if he read this thread.

Communication is a big part of the game and watching many of the City TV articles/shows, he cannot say anything in English yet. Once he starts to grasp that, he will automatically become a better player. Also a new league and probably the most physical and fastest league in the world to come to terms with, it will take time. I have seen enough of him to lay off him and give him time.

I dont understand why everyone expects immediate success, players are human FFS, they might be doing something they love but they are also having to adapt to a whole different culture, language and type of game play. When a new player arrives, they are not going to be a 8 or 9/10 every game, they will take time to adapt and adjust, any "extreme" negativity is just silly.

The thing is, there is no real reason for everyone to be slagging off Fernando after the Arsenal game. Hardly any City players played well.

If he had been particularly worse than everyone else, then there could be some reason for it, but like Navas, Jovetic, Kompany, he was a member of a team which didn't play well, not someone who deserves a special mention.

This was Yaya Toure at the start of the season. Everybody plays badly; it's Yaya Toure's fault, sell him to PSG.

he was having a poor game Ted, IMO I really didnt understand Fernandinho being taken off and Fernando being left on. I would have done the opposite, but there again I am not paid to make those decisions, I am sure Pellers had his reasons.

It's just weird how some players get shit for it & others don't. If we were picking on shitness, Demichelis would have his own forum after that. Last season he would have.

Agreed, some players seem to be above criticism (Zaba, Silva and Kun)

Well I just typed, as you quoted me; Demichelis would be the topic if this game had happened a year ago.
