I remember a game with Chelsea when Hughes was in charge, we won 2-1, but he gave away a awful pen in the 82. Lampards missed, better said, Shay saved it with an incredible effort.

I'm sure that was onuhua? Maybe I'm wrong though

It was Onuoha with a very clumsy, silly challenge. Remember that game so well, cracking atmosphere, pouring down and we were playing with so much fight and spirit.

Was incredible when Lampard missed!
One of my favorite ever City games that.

I was convinced Micah did the challenge. Yeah, cracking game.

All this talk of Micah leaving, are we sure it's not Zab's?

Causes mischief and walks away

Boyata now 5th choice right back but doubt he cares!

Good signing happy with that, have a feeling he wil be come first choice for us, we own have the two best right fills in the league for me.

Didn't he square up to Zaba when we played Arsenal once? And then when Zab was walking off after they'd both been sent off Zab went to shake his hand and Sagna refused? Bellend if you ask me!

Yeah, at that 0-0, when Joe was huge. 2011. Good memory, mate.

Its a pragmatic signing but I can't get excited about it. He's going to be a squad player and that's about it.

There's no chance of Richards staying as a central defender. He wants more game time and he wouldn't get it there. Hopefully we''ll get 7-8 million which we may need to help pay the silly going rate for a top class central defender post the Luiz transfer.

If it leads to us having a net gain in transfer funds (after selling Micah) at rightback it will help us to fund any midfield/attacking improvements within UEFA's sanctions, so it's all good. Hopefully this will be the only window where we need to wheel and deal.

Will provide Zaba with some time to rest, which is good

Taking emotion out of the equation, we're better off with Sagna than Micah. His few performances this last season were, at best, below par and is the reason Zaba played the majority of games. It will be sad to see Micah go, but it's a good deal all round for City.

I think Micah has always needed a run of games, but is never likely to get that under Pellers, and of course because of his injury record.

I am disappointed its worked out like this, but this will arguably be the first time we've made a profit on a player sale since??????

Peter Doherty (AGAIG) wrote:Good signing which means Richards has decided to leave, I reckon. He'll need to get a haircut, though.

I was hoping that would be one of the conditions in his contract !!

Micah reminds me of a cross between richard edghill, steve redmond and sylvain distin. All good on their day. All city stalwarts. All useless most of the time at high level competotition. Ta ta micah.

Seems to me over the years we've had more solid leftbacks than rightbacks.. bar Zaba.

An accounting signing for me. Therefore, there is no emotion about this one. I don't rate him, but he's ok. Just a stop gap.

I hope he befriends Demi when he comes in and then Demi convinces him to get a haircut too, just like him ...

Debuchy, Koscielny, and Giroud are all back with Arsenal and playing in preseason and all of them played more at the WC than Sagna. so I guess he should be joining up with the club soon
