Sorry for my ignorance, but how does this work? As far as I understood, it was 'if your team wins the World Cup, you win', but now people are talking about pairings and stuff?

Are there some rules or methodologies that I'm not aware of?

Three minute ban over! Twunts!

Andrew the rules are simple. Two extra points for sitting through the duration of the world cup in Japans full kit, three points for games you attend. Four points for a full squad selfie and ten points if you manage to sneak on the podium when they lift it!

Simple.

It could have been worse....I got England. Nigeria are not a bad team at all but they have Argentina and Bosnia in their group (plus Iran).
