That'll be the third left back they have signed since the end of last season. What makes that really stupid is that van Ghoul's preferred system doesn't use one. This makes it about £65 million they have spent on a position they don't use and the same on a left winger that they don't need, while ignoring the problem centre half and centre midfield positions. Moyes was good but van Ghoul may just be the Old Dutch Master we've been waiting for.

I think he'll play defensive midfield to be honest. Suggests Fletcher and Carrick are threatened.

Watched Blind the other day.

He played two positions, midfield & fullback. In midfield he was below average. At fullback he was ok, ish, going forward. Defensively, he was like if you kidnapped Stephen Jordan using ether, slapped him round the face & turfed him out of the back of a van into Ajax's left fullback position.

The last goal PSV scored if you fancy a laugh. Blind is No17.

Blind is so slow he looks like he's making his way around the pitch using a white stick.

I'd rather be Blind, as a magnificent Stan Webb and his Chicken Shack sang some year ago!

Rags overpaying again this summer, I mean Blind is ok but not of the "top 4" calibre.

The evil empire is losing the plot.

Remy to Chelsea. Now they have to sell a foreign player, prob Cech.

Agger leaves for Brondby for 3m? Werent Liverpool offering something like 5x that?

Alex Song to West Ham is an odd one

Atletico signed Alessio Cerci.

where are they getting all this money?

Mandzkuic, Griezmann, Cerci, Oblak, Moya, Siqueira, Jimenez.

I thought they only sold Costa, Luis, Guilavogui, and Adrian and no way did they make enough from those 4 to fund their 7 transfers

They won the league and made the final of the Champions League, I'm sure you get a few pennies for both of those.

To be honest, it's a bit shit that we're not involved anymore. Apart from the season before last, that was utter dogshit.

Dare I say it, I blame Marwood.

So deals are still ongoing, what a load of shite.Only in football could a deadline (the latest time or date by which something should be completed) not be a deadline.
