I would just like to thank them for providing us with no option but to build the Manchester ship canal.

This was the season I took an intense dislike to them. No word of congratulation from Rodgers who wins my vote for total twat of the season. They are all deluded and will be found out next season.

In the words of Bill Shankly and I quote "first is first, and second is nowhere." When I as growing up the dippers were always quoting this. How appropriate particularly after their triumphalist reaction to the Clattenburg game against us recently. It seems they are proud of second now lmao

An appreciation thread for the dippers?

Good one

I'll appreciate it when they fall from grace like Leeds or become irrelevant like Everton or Newcastle. Classless from the top down and imo, though they have had a great season and could have won it had events had been just a little different, they have conducted themselves poorly from the management to the players to the fans.

Hopefully this will knock the stuffing out of them and they go back to 6/7th.

It starts at the top with them, and John Henry is - and always will be - a poisonous little fuckwit.

Legitimately glad that Brenda is their manager. A more astute manager (Benitez, for instance) might have run us even closer and maybe even won a cup. Suarez has carried that team on his back and put a gloss on the campaign that flatters Rodgers tremendously.

He had the title within his grasp and completely fluffed his lines. Dippers fans should be livid with him.
"Certainly our programme is a full one, but as a player and as a manager I've always felt that there is only one way to go into a season...and that's to try to win every game.... While we are in four major competitions we shall try to win four major competitions." - Joe Mercer

Ive not heard any say that so far...they are all happy with 2nd and if offered it at the start of the season etc etc...mind you one bloke wanted to get rid of Gerrard, Henderson, Johnson etc and have a complete clearout. He said he was a season ticket holder. One can only assume he is an android and his memory is wiped at the end of every season.

Sky pundits were actually quite complimentary from what I remember (I was making quite a bit of noise at the though) - both Souness and Redknapp.
