Rodgers is right about one thing though - Suarez does fit the values of Liverpool!

Well that's definitely true.

He also said that liverpool play in a sporting manner.
Oh amd straight after the match he said "to do what we've done and be within two points of a team that has spent an absolute fortune..."

He can't shut his trap about the money. They have spent over 600m in the last ten years. STARTING from a fucking top three position.

To be honest he looked like a man who'd lost the league yesterday with his "end of season" review.

Let's hope that translates to his players against palace and the league might be won a bit earlier.

In the 2008/09 season Liverpool came 2nd, so to make the push for the title that season they spent............

2008/09
David Ngog £1,500,000
Alberto Riera £8,000,000
Robbie Keane £19,000,000
Diego Cavalieri £3,500,000
Andrea Dossena £7,000,000

2009/10
Sotirios Kyrgiakos £1,500,000
Alberto Aquilani £17,000,000
Glen Johnson £17,500,000

2010/11
Andrew Carroll £35,000,000
Luis Suarez £23,000,000
Yusuf Mersin £450,000
Raul Meireles £11,500,000
Brad Jones £2,300,000
Christian Poulson £4,500,000
Danny Wilson £2,000,000
Jonjo Shelvey £1,700,000

2011/12
Danny Ward £100,000
Sebastian Coates £7,000,000
Sanchez Jose Enrique £6,300,000
Stewart Downing £20,000,000
Charlie Adam £7,000,000
Jordan Henderson £16,000,000

2012/13
Jordan Ibe £500,000
Philippe Coutinho £8,500,000
Daniel Sturridge £12,000,000
Samed Yesil £1,000,000
Oussama Assaidi £2,300,000
Joe Allen £15,000,000
Fabio Borini £10,000,000

2013/14
Mamadou Sakho £18,000,000
Tiago Ilori £7,000,000
Simon Mignoley £10,000,000
Iago Aspas £7,000,000
Luis Alberto £6,800,000

Plus all the free transfers they acquired, Kolo, Bellamy, Doni, Jovanovic, Cole, Aurello, Konchesky, Suso, Maxi, Degen

So by my reckoning that's over £300m spent to achieve a league cup win in 2012

£20 million on Downing. Dear me. Carroll we know was a joke. Sakho for 18 as well. Suarez aside they really have spunked some money down the toilet.

So tactical ineptness and a bottle job of epic proportions qualifies you for manager of the year in this country? Chortle.

In a fair competition I'd like to see:
1 Pellers
2 Poyet
3 Uwe

In the real world, Rodgers. After all, L'pool won the league, didn't they? And they have never ever bought any players.

In terms of managers that have given us the most enjoyment:
1 Pellers
2 Moyes
3 De Canio
4 Giggs
5 Pardew's nut
And Maureen for the added idiot value he brought along, bless him.
