Right let's put this points tally straight.
1.If we win our remaining games we will finish on 88pts.
2.If Chelsea win all their games they will finish on 87pts.
3.If Liverpool lose to Chelsea they can only get a maximum of 86pts but if they draw against Chelsea they will finish on 87pts and Chelsea would finish on 85pts.

Chelsea play at Anfield right in the middle of their 2 CL semi final legs - the absolute worst time to play.

They will also get the same thing we got from any ref as well - zilch.

The titles gone I'm afraid. Unlike 2012 Liverpool only have 4 to play, we don't have a home game against them, and we are sans Ya Ya Toure.

When we played Chelsea at home, we were 3 ahead and had a great chance to go 6 ahead of them and out clear daylight between is and the rest ... what did we do? We didn't take our chance ...

When we played Arsenal, Chelsea had lost their second straight game against Palace (after Villa) and had we gone and won that, we'd be firmly in control and today's game won't even matter to is ... what did we do? We didn't take that chance either ...

Then came Liverpool and well, I only could listen to the talksport commentary while driving today and have yet to see the game ... (which will only happen when I get back home on Tuesday night) and I have yet to go through the game thread here as well ... so I can't really comment on the game yet, but overall the same theme has continued ... we had a chance to get hold of the title race and what did we do? We didn't ...

What's going on? Why can't we grab these opportunities when they are presented to us? If Liverpool drops any points in their next 4 games ... I am just not sure we won't drop any in our 6 ...

Realistically for us to win the title we'll probably need Liverpool to draw with Chelsea (so both of them drop points) and then Liverpool to drop points in one other game too ... I don't see us getting 18 pts out of remaining 18 for us!

PS. Next stop: the match thread here ... As I said above, since I am stuck away at a hotel for work, I won't get to watch the full game till Tue might ... so for now should I watch the Sky's highlights of the game at 10 or MotD at 10:20?

Its in our 'istreee' to fuck up when we could go ahead, doesn't matter on the players, manager, owners etc - typical city is alive and kicking.

As for the PS - Sky highlights mate - you'll at least see some City action, BBC will just be a scouse wankfest and fuck all on our chances or the cheating that went on.

The fact Chelsea are now right back in it could inadvertently help us plus now Liverpool are without Sturridge and Henderson , key players for them .

I'll take a 93rd minute winner in the final game to win the league by one goal on goal difference. Dejavu could be a brautiful thing, it was shit today but we're still in there, so fuck it. CTID

Up to now, Liverpool have been continually claiming that we were still the favourites to win the title and that there was no pressure upon them. They were just the little guy battling against City's money and doing the best they could for the good of football.

After today however, the pressure is, in a strange way, off ourselves and Liverpool have now to face up to the fact that everyone and his dog expects them to cruise effortlessly to the winning post, given their relatively easy remaining fixtures (Chelsea excepted ??). This, in itself, brings its own stresses so it will be interesting to see how they face up to it.

If we are now able to start playing again with the attacking freedom we showed in the earlier part of the season, the run-in might get very interesting, especially as Chelsea are still in with a shout.

This season might still have a few more twists and turns in it before it ends.

There's still a ton of football to play and we're still only a point behind if we win our games in hand. Football is a funny old game! They'll be many twists and turns yet! I still feel that this season is ours

We played really well against a fired up Liverpool without Yaya.

We are still very much in with a shot of the title.

After a kip i think we have a 30% chance of winning it.

We need Scouse to drop one and a half bollocks and us to win all our games,i don't think it will happen.

When does the season kick off next year?

Purely psychologically, it is far easier to approach four games as cup finals than six, especially when you are in charge of your own destiny and aren't relying on others. If Liverpool fail to win any of their last four games it will be down to tactics or errors rather than attitude. Unfortunately, attitude has been our biggest problem for several seasons now. The title win in the dying seconds was the most magnificent moment in the forty years I've been a City fan, but it was our bad attitude earlier in that game, and in others earlier in the season, that actually made that last gasp victory possible. To have a chance, we now need Liverpool to slip up while we ourselves approach every game as if our lives depended on it. And no defensive howlers.

In 2012, Bubba Watson won The Masters the day City lost to Arsenal before winning last 6 games to win title ...

Yesterday we did it again ... but so did Bubba ... and we have 6 games to go ...

Whilst I can see Liverpool dropping some points, I can't see us win all our remaining games, especially Everton away.

Whilst you could see Liverpool dropping points - personally I don't think they will - I cant see us winning at Palace or Everton.

Palace will park the bus, Everton is the same graveyard for us as Anfield. Therefore I think and hope Chelsea have the best chance and go on to win it, just to get rid of the LFC TV channel than Sky Sports and Match of the Day has become.

Sat nights Match of the Day has Fowler on the panel; on sunday on Sky we have Carra and Redknapp, and last nights motd2 apparently had Hansen and Hamann on it, with Hansen, so I hear, claiming Suarez didn't dive ffs. There isn't even a hint of trying to be impartial is there? To top it off Lineker tweeted yesterday that he wants to see Gerrard get a medal. Unbelievable.

Then there is an article like this.

Claiming 'everyone' is rooting for the reds.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/footba ... -Reds.html

Just wait until next season if/when they are champions they lose a game or go on a bad run the press will fucking hound them.

Cunts

Looks like 5) Twenty-five years on from Hillsborough is a serious reason why they should win the title.

Who the hell writes this stuff?

On reflection I cannot see Liverpool wasting this. Momentum is key as we know from a couple of years ago. They will have to juggle europe next season...how will they manage Gerrard then because he cannot play every game. Its annoying because had it not been for complacent away defeats earlier this season we would have this wrapped up by now.
