Gerry Gow.

Played with the mean streak I envied, and what a song:

Gerry Gow, Gerry Gow, Gerry Gow,
Gerry Gow, Gerry Gow, Gerry Go-ow,
Gerry Gow, Gerry Gow, Gerry Gow,
Gerry Go-ow, Ge-rie Gow.

They don't make 'em like that any more.

I'm not sure he was actually a footballer - I think he'd turned up to do some general dyi and somehow ended up in the first team - this thread is about players who weren't very good but were 100% committed tho which I think bozzy was

Bosvelt was excellent for us. I loved watching him play, he read the game brilliantly and was even better than Hamann at buying a foul.

Paul Cooper. He did nt play many games but I think he played when we got promoted with the draw at Bradford in 1989. We drew 3all with Bournemouth the week before and he made a brilliant save in a one on one near the end.

Hearing about Bosveldt made me think of Alfons Groenendijk and his tin of pea-opening left foot.

I did like Gerard Wiekens though. Like Kevin Horlock, if he had had more pace he would have been excellent.

Paul Dickov loved his commitment not to mention his goal against Gillingham in the play offs at Wembly. Pure folklore

I have to apologise in advance here and say that I couldn't disagree more. I thought he was bloody awful. He came to us at the end of his career and it looked like it. KK had bled us dry by then and all we got was the likes of bosvelt and tarnat.

Metomo. Last MR derby, due to injuries him and Gerard were centre backs - I feared the worst. They were brilliant.

Danny Alsop, scored our one and only ever goal in the Johnson's Paint Trophy, or whatever it was then.

Steve Howey, I'm sure he equalised for us at the swamp.

Always thought super Kevin Horlock was great for us.

Imo bosvelt was at the end, he couldnt last 70 mins. But he was a class above any midfielder we had.
