I have not seen any inside info from Doug recently in terms of whether we are working on anything specific in training this week?
i.e. Ferdy, Yaya and Garcia type midfield? Not sure we would ever get to know that anyway but I do feel as though we do need defensive cover at the start.
One other thing, do people think that it is possible for the likes of Yaya, Kompany, Silva and possibly Aguero to break off from the main group to mentally prepare for a game of this magnitude. I'd like to think it would be the captain's role to pull the key men to one side to fire them up for this one. Clearly, he would need to do that for all of them but I just think that sometimes Yaya needs a special talking to. Perhaps that may be counter productive and players leave him alone. However, a fired up Yaya, for me, wins us the game. Add to that mix a pumped up Kompany (within limits) and a fired up Aguero (if fit) we must have enough to get through this.
My fear is that Yaya has one of those days, Silva is snuffed out from the off and we are struggling from the off. Can we all send Yaya some sort of collective shake please?

if you read the RAWK forum they go on and on and on about how the atmosphere is going to get to our players and they will never witness anything like it. I agree that they will be well up for it, its their biggest game since Istanbul.

However, to think our players will play shit because they sing a song loudly is fucking retarded. I think our 3k will give a good account of ourselves too.

They scousers are expecting their team to come out all guns blazing and blitz us the same way they did to Arse and Everton. the best way to deal with them and the crowd is to turn this shit on its head and get a couple of early goals, they wont be so fucking cheery and confident then.

The Liverpool wank fest continues ...

Manager of the Month: Brandon Rodgers
Player of the Month: Luis Suarez AND Steven Gerrard jointly (as if one wasn't enough) ... when was the last time we saw TWO players being given player of the month?

Might as well start calling them Loverpool ...

Are you sure? I thought it was manager of the year and players of the year. Considering they have won the league it's only right.

He even missed one.

But you can see how far the pendulum has swung. Any other year and Rooney would have been a shoe in after scoring from the half way line.

Well for long time nobody bugging me probably because i do not comment Edin so much and i do have more love for City then for Dzeko ,but enough about that i was thinking and i really did not get English league until i start follow English media. If Liverpool become champs that would be hell. Media would celebrate them like gods and if we and Chelsea win that will be blah for media FA not for regular fans. Why is that i don't get it ?! Rags and whiners are so much favorites by almost all channels , newspaper, FA, refs ( they thank god on whiners forum for Twatenburg ) ,and who would not 3 penalties against rags.Football is become so much more then just thinking how your team is going to play. And how the fuck Tyler can keep hes job when there is no indication of his impartiality and if he can be so blunt by hating clubs and favorite others, what u can expect from refs.Still i have faith in our  our stubbornness and desire to show to everyone. Yaya will be atomic for that match i have felling and they will all run like mad only fear is diving club from Liverpool and Twatman.

I think it's glaringly obvious that certain areas of the media have decided to start targeting the Liverpool fan base. It's also fucking pathetic and ridiculous.

I hope we smash them on Sunday. Can't help but feel the officials will play a big part in this.

You can see from the comments by scousers that they actually expect to get penalties on Sunday. And they probably will, along with loads of free kicks for Suarez/Gerrard to line up.

We need to make sure we take advantage of their shitty defence, & then it won't matter what they do. In the old days though, scoring against them was also difficult due to help from refs & lino's calling incorrect 'offside' decisions etc.

I think we had three goals disallowed there one time. All were shown to be onside later.

With Kompany and demichelis playing against Suarez and Sturridge, they are probably right, and it won't be Clattenburgs fault. He will be under scrutiny after the number of penalties for Liverpool has been highlighted, and particularly his role giving 3 at the swamp.

I almost feel that the 3 at the swamp could have been an "up yours" by Clattenburg to ferguson after he was seemingly banished for over a year after the 1-6

I think we should work on needing to score at least 2 just for a draw

how much time are we thinking Sergio gets on Sunday? will he start? do we want him to start? (sounds like a dumb question but we've done well with a 5 man midfield and Liverpool's back 4 is shaky when facing big strikers like Edin, who has a good goal scoring record recently)....

he's been in training for a week or more so that's positive news.

We are going to win this game , I'm telling you all.The fucking bin dippers will be wanking each other off too much on the pitch and will leave huge gaps for us to exploit.

I'm not worried about this match at all , I'm more worried about the Everton game than this one.

I think if we go 5 in midfield it will isolate the forwards. Whilst Suarez is always capable of dribbling through everyone, Sturridge is a greedy cunt, so keep them isolated up top and I think we will have every chance of 3 points (barring a couple of penalties), as you have to always fancy us to score.

News of the tickets being touted for sunday has reached our 'sun equivalent ' news rag, they are reporting tickets going for 3600 chf.

For the 'Saison meisterschaftsentscheidender ( yes it really is a long word) Spiele'.

So it looks likely to be a well watched game even here !
