lol only joking, but maybe over hyped is a better phrase.
they nearly went out to a mid table team after all.

I think they look weaker and more boring under pep. Can't speak about their domestic league as haven't watched them in it. But in Europe they don't look as good at all.

Against us, they were immense & a class above Barca.

Like us, they are not often at their best & don't need to be. If they play Chelsea, & underperform, Chelsea will beat them just like they beat us.

at our ground they looked class. However, if it weren't for individual errors it would have been a better result. Joe let in two clangers and clichy's terrible defending didn't help.

But the team that beat barca 7-0 over two games looked better.

I honestly think if chelsea draw munich, chelsea will go through.

I'm gonna venture a guess it has to do with todays news:

"The Belgian stopper, who is considered as one of the brightest and best keepers in world football, helped La Liga leaders Atletico eliminate Spanish rivals Barcelona in the quarter-finals, but he looks set to miss the semis due to a clause in his contract.

The 21-year-old is currently in his third season on loan from Chelsea, and although UEFA rules stipulate that there is nothing stopping Courtois from featuring against his parent club, Atletico may be priced out of such a situation.

Chelsea inserted a clause into the loan agreement at the start of the 2013/14 campaign which would force Atletico to pay a fee, reportedly as much as £4.95 million, should they opt to field their number one against them.
However, if the two side are drawn together then it is unlikely that Courtois will feature – meaning that he will miss the most important match of his promising career to date.

According to Atletico president Enrique Cerezo, the capital-based side are not in a position to pay such a fee and would be forced into fielding 34-year-old Dani Aranzubia, who has played just once this season.
Speaking to Spanish radio Onda Cero, Cerezo said: "It is a figure that we cannot pay."

That was the first thought that crossed my mind when Atletico won

You can't knock Barcelona when UEFA is bent as fuck and we are City. When Yaya almost received bananas on the field at Moscow and they close their eyes.

And you can't knock Barcelona by playing football like City did, but instead you can do that by parking the bus and be diabolical on the counter.

good, UEFA says Chelsea cannot make Atletico pay them for Courtois playing against them, despite what his loan contract says.

But if Atletico want to keep the keeper on loan for another season and do other deals with them like Diego Costa for some major sum ... well you get the drift ... they are already making such noises that we have an agreement with Chelsea and we'll honour it in the name of our good relations between the two clubs blah blah blah ...

if Atletico dont play him theyre stupid. they never know if theyll have another season like this again, even if Courtois stays. they have to go all out right now
