Looking at our remaining league fixtures: 4 big teams away, we're going to need something special to win it. We're going to need to play like we did before Christmas. We're going to need to have no more injuries. We're going to need to outscore Liverpool and Arsenal at their place. Can we do it? This is City!!!

going to be very difficult, our fixture list is horrendous but we can beat anyone so the only thing that will beat us is ourselves!

It's gonna be tough, but fuck it's gonna be fun to watch. I still think it's Chelsea's to lose, but by no means can we be written off. C'mon City!!!

Who are the 4 big teams you speak of? I can only think of 3. Arsenal, Liverpool and Everton

All our away games are tough now & barring a fantastic spell, we are going to drop a decent number of points away from home .
But looking at Arse, Liverpool, Chelsea; they are all going to drop points & will probably do it when least expected.
We will need to get a couple of 'gritty' wins, & then pull out a couple of huge performances at two of the top 6 grounds. If we do do that, we can still lose/draw a couple, we will almost certainly win the title imo, in fact that would probably win it by a decent margin.
Stuff is going to start happening to our rivals now; it's time.
We have to cash in when the chance comes.

I think the biggest challenge for us isn't so much who we are playing but when we are playing then.(although there are some toughies but as Ted says, Arse and Chelsea are both going to drop points too)
We will have a hefty fixture pile up and we'll be three games behind Chelsea after we've played Wigan in the FA Cup, so physiologically the gap could be un-naturally large, we may even drop to fourth because we will miss two more league games.
Of course we will play the same amount of games but those games are going to hit midweek - we'll have 3 games to squeeze in and potentially more if we get past Wigan.
We need this cup final to give us an adrenalin boost - get Kun back and Neggers fighting again whilst keeping VK, PZ, DS and YT fit.

I do worry about our run in. It just seems as though we will be playing twice a week until the end of the season.
But it has been a very close season, if we win our remaining games we win the league. We have a cracking chance of winning a pot next week, and if we finish 2nd or 3rd with the League cup I will be happy.
I think that is a very good season, made even better by Uniteds push for the Europa league :)

It's ours to lose - win all our remaining games and we could only be equalled on points.
Will we win them all? Probably not, but we did just have a run of 18 wins and two draws from 20, so why not?

Because we no longer have that.
Because we have the most taxing of all remaining schedules.
Because our strikers all seem to have picked the same time to go off the boil.
Pick one.

It was always going to be the case that barring a collapse from our rivals, we would need a couple of big away wins to secure the title.
That has been obvious for months.
I still haven't ruled out the collapse having watched them all in action though. We have been struggling for fitness but they have been struggling for nerve.
If Ferguson was in our position, he would be confident of winning the title, & relatively confident of winning several of the coming top end away games, even with the side he had last year.
He has told us ad nauseum about how the pressure works in these circumstances & we have seen it in front of our eyes on many occasions, including with Mourinho's Chelsea.

Is rather be in the position we are now , i.e still in 4 competitions with one cup half way in the cabinet already, than be on top of the prem with fuckall else to play for.
IMO we have had our bad patch as far as lack of goals etc is concerned and now we are just about to get GOD back onto the pitch to show the other spastics how scoring goals is supposed to be done...perfect timing-
Im very happy , infact I just know we will win the CC and also beat them cunts at the Nou camp.
Stop whining people , be positive ffs.

I have a sneaking suspicion (hope) that our perceived dip in form is the quiet before the storm so to speak!
If we get the rest of our squad fit between now and the end of the season, I don't see why we won't be able to keep all key players fresh enough to perform to the level that we know they can do!
If we don't win it, heigh ho, no shame. We always thought that this would be a transition season anywho, and our early league form certainly suggested that.
If we get the [strike]Worthless[/strike] League Cup next weekend, it should give us a great platform from which to build.
We're Man City and we fight to the end!

I feel the same as both above; that we are just about to kick back into gear.
I was very worried when I saw the Chelsea league game, because we were basically fucked, right up against it, & would have struggled v anybody on that day.
Now we are starting to get into clear water & it should be us v them, on a level playing field. We are better than them.
Lets hope we are right.

My biggest concern is that we've only spent about 10 minutes at the top of the league all season. I know we've got that game in hand but we need to make that spot ours. If we find ourselves more than three points off the pace at any time, it might get away from us.
I know we're favourites but I can't shake the feeling that Chelsea will nick it.

Well the first point is wrong, so I'll stop there
